Autosport as always looking for opportunities to rekindle their 2021 fire😂. Max did get penalized in Las Vegas and Austria, because the situation was different. Also, as always the comments here suggest that Max is the only guy racing this way. But when Sainz is doing exactly the same thing about every lap in the sprint race everyone is incredibly excited by his racing. The reality is that Austin and Austria corners consistently lead to these kinds of incidents between all drivers on the grid.
@14KShadow Says:
It's not even genius. Noobs have been doing what Max does since Forza 3 It's so easy. Break late to block the other driver from turning in
@Nemosan01 Says:
Everyone knows fia is protecting red bull and max… the list of rules broken and incidents is growing race by race… year by year, but barely anything done…. Just a sad governance is ruining the sporting perspective
Says:
THE FIA IS A JOKE🤡 EVERYONE KNOWS THE CURRENT FIA WAS BIRTH At ABU DHABI 2021🤡 PS. Mercedes/ Toto “ anyone but Lewis “ MERCEDES WILL BE DOMINANT NEXT YEAR AFTER LEWIS DEPARTURE.
@reighbh13 Says:
Ghost of Massi in play. potentially another WDC tarnished
@javiazar Says:
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are the two drivers on the grid that you cannot beat unless you're willing to risk crashing into them.
@TheTesteDrive Says:
If Norris and McL believed they would be treated fairly by the stewards/FIA they would have given the place back. But they know if they have given the place back nothing would come to Max.
@agoogleuser2369 Says:
If I were McLaren I would be appealing this decision until the end.
@kidShibuya Says:
I just don't understand why they are moving for max. He has to leave space, if he doesn't it's a penalty for causing a collision. If you move for him you get done for overtaking off the track. So don't move for him. After a few collisions hell learn.
@csl750 Says:
watched that incident a couple times now... stewards got it dead wrong... The Mclaren was ahead, Verstappen went deep into the corner and pushed the Mclaren out and in doing so also broke track limits...
@MrMousekillaz Says:
just imagine that just milimeters beyond the track limits is a cement wall or an automatic DQ
@csababiro7851 Says:
Respect to Jenson for confronting Max in the post race interview. He says well Max, you seemed to also have left the track while defending from Lando. Max: Yeah, I have my opinion on that as well, which I'm not gonna say here but let the stewards rule on it. Mmmhmm... Sure Max, but if you were proud of your viewpoint on the situation why not say it back to Jenson, make him see different and say, sorry Max now that I hear your take on it, you're right... Not never.
@AnotherJoe Says:
Is it within the rules? Yes? Then leave it and move on. Next time they’ll apply the same rule and punishment to Verstappen and I guarantee you, you won’t mention a single word about it.
@wvosloo433 Says:
Max into turn 1 lap 1, still made the corner. That is racing. If there was a wall there Lando would have had to back out. Turn 12 same thing, yes max ran slightly off but if there was a wall he would have crashed and same for Lando. Ideally don’t kill the racing, Lando overtook off track got the penalty. That’s fair, Russell’s pass, he didn’t run off track, that should have never have been a penalty. That is pure racing, don’t kill the sport.
@Checkyoursix77 Says:
Currently it’s probable more realistic that Norris will be overtaken by Leclerc.
@counterpress Says:
Why is everyone complaining... in 2021.. where were the fans and F1 teams?? They enabled Max poor driving and blatant illegal driving... stop complaining you created a false god who in wheel to wheel action he can only drive someone off the road... and clearly cannot make the apex or keep it on track
@paulsilas6037 Says:
No, we are not casual viewers. Max was ahead at the apex, Lando decided to go outside on his own, he had a brake pedal.
@csababiro7851 Says:
Can you bet on these things? Seeing Norris gaining on Verstappen, knowing that the cars are pretty evenly matched this weekend, being familiar with Verstappen's defence in situations like this - How much money would you have bet on that the result of the race between the two will be decided in the stewards room?
@Slipstream_merchant Says:
Max was on the outside in Budapest you idiot 😂😂😂 Schumacher & Senna both did what Max does, so stop crying.
@Checkyoursix77 Says:
It’s simple. You can’t pass off track. Another video with British media crying.
@ChristopherBuenviaje Says:
You guys lost me at Max was at fault. Hahaha! Max was penalized of the same thing before. Norris knew that was his only chance having had a lot of track limits violation. Pathetic and lame from these UK press boys.
@Milkydrummer Says:
Max gets away with murder I swear. - I DO think Lando overtook off track and should’ve given the place back, but max just released the break to roll into the apex ahead. He wasn’t even trying to take the corner properly. Plus, he went MILES off track earlier in the race at the same corner and got no penalty, and pushed Lando off at turn 1….it was the same in 2021, the guy gets away with the most ridiculously poor driving. It’s like the stewards are scared of him. Completely ridiculous.
@whitneyabrahams5249 Says:
If you want to be Champion race and earn it. Pressure is mostly the stumbling stone for Norris.
@csababiro7851 Says:
We are not far away from gymnastics and figure skating. You do your best and hope that the judges like what you did better than the competition.
@agoogleuser2369 Says:
Neither Max nor Norris stayed within track limits. This decision is laughable. Had Max managed to stay within track limits the penalty would've been warranted. Max literally forced him off the track as he was alongside him. Max should get a penalty for that as well. If there was a massive gravel trap instead of a runoff area Max would've gotten a penalty, wouldn't he? I'm so sick of stewarding in F1.
@Jeroengambling Says:
Speaking of moving under breaking.. turn 1 the lap after the overtake. Also 5 sec penalty. And hoping for a dnf for verstappen to get a wdc fight on is sick. This fight was never really on it just got hyped. You can turn that around: when norris dnf’s de championship is gone? Come on guys.
@desafortunadamente... Says:
"The Verstappen Loophole" must be closed. As Lando correctly observed, when Max 'defends' like this, with no intention whatsoever of making the corner, it's just bad racing. Technically legal, and 100% against the principles of clean, competitive racing that the rules are supposed to defend.
@RogerM88 Says:
Norris went way off track gaining an advantage while Max had one wheel on track over the blue line. Norris could easily done a scissor to Max, braking earlier.
@leosafina2697 Says:
You just GET IT
@AlexFernando1996 Says:
It is not controversial, it is clear that Max is wrong
@bengutsell Says:
I thought Verstapine went over the line as well, did he get a penality?
@andrewstorm8240 Says:
Of course that’s it Max is the winner
@johanz8924 Says:
Everyone seems to forget that Lando had already passed Max on the straight heading into the corner so it’s actually Max trying to get the position back. This completely changes the arguments. By doing so Max overshoots the corner and commits a foul by doing so by braking too late and forcing the other car off the track. That would have been the correct judgement and no penalty on Lando. I think both drivers are great but this sport is just too inconsistent in how rules are applied. Getting Abu Dhabi 2021 feelings
@zlm001 Says:
I agree, Verstappen didn’t make the corner.
@yindyamarra Says:
Those forklifts in the background remind me of the movie Cars , 😝
@expertreviews1112 Says:
So it's 2021 all over again, and when you're chasing you have much to lose??? Max was chasing in 2021 and defending now... Mate, your bias and prejudice are weighing too much on your head
@MarangMatlala Says:
Love the British passion😂
@Secretlyanothername Says:
Verstappen is the dirtiest driver since Schumacher
@Qcfreshdude Says:
As usual Max cheated twice on the first lap and didnt get penalized
@GoatAdrian Says:
Don't hate the player, hate the rules
@ianpackwood Says:
Some great points made , I hope the FIA watch this video
@Pro_Blunder Says:
It’s a clever understanding of the rules. The problem is the fans want to see side by side racing. Anyone can run another person off the road. Just look at online racing lobbies 😂
@rizzledizzle Says:
Everyones out for Maxs blood because their favourite Britisnt driver isnt winning. So much british bias against Max and Red Bull
@jimmyho595 Says:
UK media, lol.
@SrbendaNo1 Says:
Abu Dhabi 21, flexi wings, rear brake steer, bib height device.....nothing. Should i go on?
@MooncricketsInc Says:
As a ferrari fan, was a great race. Penalties given out are inconsistent, but that's nothing new. They should've penalised norris and verstappen or let them keep racing.
@andym1056 Says:
I get the penalty that a place was gained for leaving the track, but the rules should be tweaked that the defending driver can also not just brake so much later that they don’t make the corner themselves without some kind of penalty
@BouncerPaul Says:
I am not against Max But He does seem to get into a lot of controversial issues with other drivers as he is an aggressive driver
@Chris-rf6xj Says:
Love the 2021 vibe👌😁 Thank you Max and Lando. Let’s hope next year Lewis, Charles and Oscar join the party.
