I can't help myself rooting against the italians in volleyball matches - they seem to be the least interesting team offensively among the world's top teams - all they ever do is to play pipe or semi-fast balls to the sides and rely on height advantage. Even Russia, which usually relied on height advantage is running a more varied attack. Every other top team - France, Poland, USA, Japan, ... they all are showing more innovation and variance in attack, which makes the game far more interesting to watch.

Türkiye voleybolda Arap ülkeleri takımları seviyesinde. Bu onların en iyi oyunuydu. İtalya oyunu ciddiye almasa da. Türkiye'nin sporda söyleyecek çok sözü yok. Daha iyisi olabilirdi. Takımda ciddi eksiklikler var evet ama Adis'i kullanamadik. Gerçekten çok yükseğe zıplıyor Adis ve kriz anlarını da sayıya çevirdi. Italy played a decent game but i feel like it would not be enough against bigger teams. We'll see. They usually start strong but then loose a little bit of focus when the opponent start to play better, or it's behind by only one-two points. Russo needs to pay more attention on "tricky" situations at the net (like when the setter "fakes" the setting and let the ball pass on the other side). Lavia played really well, I'm glad Giannelli can rely on him in difficult out-of-system situations. Coach De Giorgi also did a great call by putting the second libero Scanferla in, he did better than Balaso yesterday.
Also Turkey called for a challenge but there was no block touch because it was the shadow of the ball. And camera angles can be deceiving. It's useless to continue arguing with the referee if he has already decided.
