No you are absolutely wrong the Sprint format. It's absolutely terrible. This guy talks like it's a no-brainer when every single pole I've seen on Twitter and elsewhere. The overwhelming vast majority say they don't like it. this is just being pushed on us by the elite of the sport. It's not what the fans want. It's people like you pushing it also. It absolutely takes away from the race and the qualifying. You go from one qualified one day to the next. Ridiculous I will not be watching sprint races. It takes away from the build-up to the real race. Y'all need to talk about how they change the rules so now nobody can follow in pass anymore since they raised the ride height of the car. The product is becoming shittier again

I think this format just diluted the whole weekend. Regular quali meant we already knew what was gonna happen in the Sprint quali and same goes for the Sprint Race and Grand Prix. Even if you took out Red Bull's dominance it would be a big ole meh for me.

Problem with the new sprint race weekends: People work on friday thereby missing the qualification. Also they probably will now only watch the race on sunday because 2 day parts on a saturday is too much claim on their free time

I have to disagree with Mr Noble, the parc fermé rule has only frozen the things for the whole weekend. We had more or less the usual suspects where we expected them to be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I have nothing against meritocracy and the fact that the best teams and best drivers are on the top but I would remove the parc fermé rule for the sprint's quali and sprint's race to allow teams to try something new or maybe extreme setups. This could make things a bit more interesting. Yes some teams will sacrifice the Saturday for Sunday and vice versa but this would offer a better racing and something thrilling to watch. And after all speaking about meritocracy, I don't see any reason why the best teams would not cope with removing the parc fermé rule.

Sprints are bullshit. They deflate the main event by basically pre-empting the first third of the race beforehand.
The regular format works fine, I think they should ditch FP1 though.

As nothing can be improved between the sprint race and the Sunday race, the strength of the cars is given for the race, which reduces the unknown for that race. Not a fan at all. Same counts for having twice a qualy at least let them make changes so things could change.

Is a non-story, nothing has changed, it was only Leclerc's driving which put the SF-23 on pole. Other than the low downforce rear wing, there were no new bits on the car, so as far as the race went, well it went exactly as predicted. The Ferrari chewed up the tires and was slower in the straight. It would require a sea change for the Ferrari to get anywhere near the Red Bull. On top of that, they got lucky in this race, Alonso might have had a chance to overtake Leclerc if he had another lap or two. What helped the Ferrari a little was the sky became overcast and the temperature dropped which made it slightly less taxing on the tires. In Miami this coming week? Ferrari might not fare so well.

So sprint weekend should be like this-
1. We have Practice 1 on friday followed by the Main race qualifying. In which the Top 10 will maintain their starting positions for the grid on sunday.
2. Have sprint qualifying as usual or maybe have 1 LAP shootout based on the championship position. That means the P1 in championship goes first and so on.
Then we have sprint race where, apart from top 10 in qulaifying, The finish order will define the order for other 10 grid positions for the race that is from 11 to 20.
So even if Say sainz qulaifies p5 on friday but DNF on saturday sprint he will start at still start at p5 in sunday, but if someone else say gasly qualifies p15 on friday but in is in top 10, he will get p11 and so on for the finishing order.
3. We have final race on sunday.
This way in sprint everyone is playing for something. P1 to p8 for points p9 and p10 looking to grt to points and not dropping too far and everyone is trying get grid position for the race.
This can make sprint little interesting for each driver and team.

Oh come on people, this year never saw ‘Max’ fighting. Remember the botched 2021 season ‘finale’ end ? That was the last time I saw two greats fight, with a ‘very poisonous end’. Now ‘Max’ is in a car that can get 20 seconds ahead in as many laps, without actually as much as stressing the car, nor it tyres. (I love the BS of his comments 'like ‘the car is not feeling good’ – before getting the fastest lap). This season was over before it started. They can take 5 engine penalties and win the DCP easily and they bloody know it. Of course Checo won’t win it. I love to ffw the race on tv , knowing the 1-2 beforehand. The top 10 sprint race finishers results should be reverse grid for the actual race e.g. sprint race finish #1 would start gridposition #10 for the race and vice versa bit like British touring cars. Works really well.
