In hindsight people will appreciate dominance. It's happened with Williams, McLaren, ferarri and Mercedes. The saga continues....I think f1 should try out the reverse grid and ditch the sprints. Limiting practices increases the risk factors.

Is this going to be released as Podcast too Martyn?

It's better than MP44 because it's more reliable.

I don't rate Stroll and believe only daddy is keeping him in F1.. BUT I have to admit his hand injuries have affected him this season.
@vincenzodigrande2070 Says:
Max, in comparison just seems that Stevie Ray Vaughan guy, and most of the rest are more like a Lou Reed, maybe a Paul Stanley. There are very excellent drivers on the grid, some even really brilliant, but only one god tier level virtuoso. And no, I am not a fan of him at all, I am just trying to describe what I am seeing at the moment. 😅
@alainbelanger4547 Says:
Max will be the fastest to reach 100 victories with 24 GP season

Almost 8 years of Hamilton / Mercedes was hell, so suck it up cupcake !

Couldn't help but laugh at the Helmut Marko story time segment. The guys interact so well together, makes these videos so much better and more fun to watch.
@alastairman1223 Says:
Tbh I don’t get how anyone could hate greatness. Like yea it’s annoying we get the same race winner but hating a driver because he’s too fast or too slow is the dumbest ever.
@ralphe5842 Says:
I’m not Dutch but Max is a once in a generation driver as Checo is easily as good as Bottas and probably Nico too
@danielfrench753 Says:
I'm English and I totally agree with the comment about team mates. Lewis has certainly had more team mates who matched or match him than Max has. The only driver who was on the same level as Max in the Red Bull would be Daniel.
@Mathias-ou5vy Says:
Max the King
@rodolphendessabeka8721 Says:
35.50, it's more than a double diffuser and an F duct combined. Look carefully at the openings at the end of the side pods. Redbull is using its side pods to energise the air coming from the front. Ferrari has noticed and copied it but they have not mastered this feature yet.
@midas7394 Says:
Based on Russell's shocking track record, over the last 5 seasons, Mercedes needs to dump Russell as he has proved to be the team's albatross. Throughout Mercedes's long history in racing, they have never been a midfield team until they ignored Lulu's advice & made the teams biggest mistake by employing Dodgem Russell!!!! F1 Mercedes fans expect their team to recruit only the very best drivers, technicians, etc, at all times, that will result their team being in contention for World championships. How long can Mercedes expect their F1 fans to continue to take pride in their team , when customer teams are consistently much faster than the Mercedes team, for more than 18 months????
@brianhall1129 Says:
Wow thats pretty low when they are sayn All be better if max were gone like really focus on your car and not max and just maybe u guys will improve !!!!
@withfeelingz4192 Says:
I think that's wrong. If yuki beat ricardo he move to redbull and perez is out. If ricardo beat tunoda ricardo move to redbull perez is out anything happen perez is out. And lawson is in.. the difference in 2024 is perez is out and one of alphatauri driver move to redbull and lawson is in to alphatauri.
@ben7301 Says:
I strictly came for Ferrari only
@midas7394 Says:
If Mclaren gave Danny the car Piastri has now, Lando would be playing second fiddle. ha-ha ....... but ....... that's what life is about ............. life's twists & turns are totally unpredictable. .......
@GabberPinda Says:
If you think this season is boring you should go watch a different sport like cricket👍
@Mr_Sigy Says:
Redbull was one of the slowest teams through Eau rouge
@vinhluu2154 Says:
"Not witnessing anything amazing" ... The definition of something amazing is that no one else is able to do it like Max does. Host should just come out and say he's biased and are unable to see what an "amazing" driver Max is. And no, not everyone can do it because of the car...Checo is the counterpoint to that.
@RicardoSicks Says:
The most interesting story point, you've continually hinted at but never elaborated on was the Aston Martin situation where they had to replace a part of the car, that no one is elaborating on..come on guys, pill the tea!
@avisscher2352 Says:
he doesn't want to talk about teams during the cost cap conversation, but then mentions red bull anyway, because of last year and all. but beware, if you are so good at your craft and want to hint at teams that are rumored to have gone over this year's cost cap, you need to think a little longer. red bull already had the car excellent for last year and did not have to do anything or little in relation to the current car this year, which tells me that if there are any teams that are over it, it is more likely those teams that are halfway through and everything has to change again because they were wrong again with their philosophy. read mercedes, alfa romeo and mclaren. those are the questions you "journalists" should perhaps be asking. as far as I'm concerned I'll just wait and see what happens when the fia releases something before gossiping about it.
@letsmisbhavekmgx9786 Says:
You need to give BrrrakeF1 a watch (post spa vid). Ex performance engineer for max and Checo. He did analysis and found that both RB’s were not taking eau rouge flat at all in the race. He speculates that it was possibly a skid board wear concern but was obvious when fuel adjusted in the data. Also sheds light on the max/gp discussion. Use your head was a team order and max wanted to be certain Checo was doing it too. Brrrake reckons both cars had another 20secs in them over the race. That would’ve meant max winning by nearly 1 min!
@shothastar Says:
the energy drink is still faster than Ferrari & Mercedes
@RobBeltmann Says:
Verstappen beat Hamilton in as close as equal machinery you’ll see in F1. So there’s that. As far as competitive teammates: Verstappen only had Sainz in his rookie year (outscored quite clearly) and Ricciardo in his second and third year (unreliable engine makes comparing them difficult either way). He won’t get a competitive teammate before 2025, since Checo sells cans, caps and shirts in markets Max doesn’t reach. And Slim’s money helps. So they’re not sending him into retirement before his contract is up. Let’s hope by then they’ll find a very decent replacement, the likes of Lando, Oscar or who knows how good Liam will be…
@barryscroggins8450 Says:
So given that 2021 was so close at the front did the FIA ruin everything with its 2022 new car design rules? Merc and Ferrari are so off Red Bull you know that they will pragmatically all be waiting for the next rule change and hoping that that change will swing the pendulum in the favour of the teams with in-house engine development capabilities. The FIA really needs to look at keeping the rules stable for longer in order to push teams to develop to the rules rather than opting to just wait for a better set of rules to come along in the future. Would be interesting to know how TV viewing figures are going?
@davidhollingdale3548 Says:
The answer is to allow the rest of the teams more development time and money to get them up to red bull or it will go as boring at the front as it is now .
@GaelenChinnock-bv8pq Says:
Personally I much prefer to hear your comments about the teams lower down because it's actually interesting. There's so much you can learn from what people are doing wrong, rather than just hearing the same comments over and over again from all media sources about how good Red Bull is. So thanks for focusing on all the teams at least a little!
@riancastermans1607 Says:
Hard to give Max credits, isn't it? And there are very much not-Dutch fans who agree. Even British fans. You believe and see what you want to see and making excuses for the unbelievable driver Max is. As if Perez is a lesser driver than Bottas. Maybe try a few other english podcasts.
@milliondollarempire Says:
Basically the season is over no one is beating Max it's just a shame there's not a stronger driver in that Red Bull like Alonso that would Race Max Wheel to Wheel. Perez doesn't have the balls or talent to make a championship of the F1 2023 Season it's over by Sumner break
@steeldrac Says:
I think the comparisons to football are useful, but instead of a league team, F1 teams behave like National Teams… when they fail, you need to prepare to the next World Cup and sometimes wait for a new generation to be ready… a 3 year process sounds more reasonable, same thing as to prepare for a World Cup
@grahamroden8897 Says:
Utterly pointless if you’re not in a Red Bull or a Red Bull fan. Next season can’t come quick enough for me, it’s yet another snore fest
@hoverpilder1905 Says:
Max cant handle a teammate that is equal or close to being his equal. He's too insecure. Look at early 2023 season when Checo had Max handled. He was losing his mind. That insecurity showed again the past weekend when Checo was in front of him. Max wanted to know the strategy Checo is on so he can assess what to do next. HE'S 200 POINTS AHEAD. Yet he doesnt want to give his teammate a morsel of anything that could be held over his head. His ego just cant handle that.
@menace1thegoat747 Says:
Max lost to danny ric in 2016 and 2017 and Redull put a stop to it. He hasn't been challenged since.
@stephenwouw8624 Says:
Funny, you ask the question but you failed to answer it. Does the the battle for the championship differ if there wasn't a budget cap? Well obviously! Which immediately raises the question if you should implement the budget cap as is and starve competition? Because that's what's happening What even these people failed to realize is the effort and return on investment will give a team such as Ferrari and Mercedes, who are on paper more than capable to at least make an equal car to RBR. Not saying that they will win, but at the very least there is competition. As most teams except RBR struggled in the first half of 2022, it cost most teams their annual budget to fix and correct meanwhile RBR had to deal with minor mistakes, so they could start improving as soon as half way the season. That gap has eliminated competition entirely. So how are they able to catch up as RBR has perfected and understand the concept whilst everyone else is just grasping the full extend of it. But every day they cannot implement an update or implement the required part to be competitive is a day gained for RBR to maintain their position. Its quite telling that McLaren makes a jump of about 1 second within a season, and still is nowhere close. Mercedes does know 1 part they could use today to get a better understanding but can't as it costs too much. Ferrari might be finding enough leads to stick to the bathtub version, but true performance might be very well 3 years away, so is it wise to keep chasing your own concept? Meanwhile smaller teams are making jumps by adopting RBR's design. So you see everyone is pretty much 12 to 14 months away from truly understanding the RBR formula. Doing it their own way might be paying off and coming up with solutions and innovations, but that's severely restricted by decree of the budget cap. So you follow in the end. Which means RBR is on a path with no resistance, no competition and no roadblocks. It is therefor much more plausible for RBR to win every single race till 2026 not just because they have the best car and the most in form driver. No, it's because the regulations has a restrictive effect on competition that it is killed to equalize the field. Yet the effect is the exact opposite and that's just in less than 3 years! So the notion that RBR will face much more difficulties in the following seasons is just plain old horse manure. They have 14 months on their closest rivals and well over a second. Even in the event that any team makes up to the current RBR-19, RBR just needs to marginally improve to stay ahead. So no cost cap restrictions will harm their operations but it did already affected the operations of everyone else.

Cost cap: let's see here.. Who's good, and who's behind? Ok. Let's freeze that right there. The good will always be good, and others will never improve!
@willemh1913 Says:
Lewis had top teammates? Do you really think Bottas is world champion material? He was just a ok 2th. 4 years next to Lewis. Ready to pick up the pieces when Lewis had a off weekend or bad luck. Lewis was never as consistant as MV. And don't get me wrong LH is a excelent driver. One of the best ever.
@timothysullivan7433 Says:
Maybe Max is just on another level above Hamilton so Max makes his teammate look weak.
@karloanttila Says:
Max is a generational talent and leads the championship for a reason. I expect Piastri to rise to the top, followed by LeClerc. Then come Norris, Russell. The rest look a bit also-rans by comparison. As for 2024, rules remain stable and RB is likely to show the way. Of drivers currently not on the grid, I don't see any real generational talent among the F2/F3 contenders. Vesti, maybe? Lawson to replace someone in Alpha Tauri? Cheers!
@geoffmacey8728 Says:
NO it's worse than the Ferrari or McLaren dominated season so far.
@formula1chess Says:
ngl if other teams don't catch up next season red bull could have a full win streak that being said, I think it's likely other teams will catch up, especially if red bull keeps violating cost caps
@theklaus7436 Says:
I find it strange people think it has been a boring season. No it was boring when Mercedes had the biggest gap in formel 1 history back in 2014- etc. but somehow people have forgot that. For us not English it’s a relief to see a new team and a virtuoso on 4 wheels . So go ahead. And of course we hope Aston will get back, like McLaren. And Ferrari isn’t a threat, they are just waiting to shot them self. I wonder who’s next to be chief of Ferrari
@LowKurt. Says:
only riccardo ever challenged Verstappen
