James allison succeed when his team spent 500M$ in a season. Let's see what he can do in the cost cap era.

No way Elliot did this on his own initiative.

Is Allison a aerodynamics specialist or engine specialist? Is he better than Adrian

The Moment Mercedes had Allison do the Australia race review on Mercs YouTube. You knew something was up and that he was back. I’m impressed the official announcement got dragged out.

Red Bull snatched their engineers as well...

Get in there James - Welcome back to the TEAM 🙂
@djoetma Says:
Merc still lost Costa and Blandin. Just getting Allison back won't do much.
@moStallion Says:
Mike is more of a book Smart guy. James is more of a naturally intelligent guy that can read aero. Like newey. I knew off the bat mike wasn't going to fit the role well because he needs to be lead not a leader. He's smart but not naturally intelligent where he can read airflow like james can

Cuz desperate.
@gilvansouza Says:
The British F1 press is so biased. If this happened at Ferrari or Alpine, we would have woken up to headlines such as shambles or chaos. Because it's at Mercedes, it's mature, and considered...

Spot on around 7 minutes...encourage your team to think boldly, innovatively as they seek the path forward. People frightened to go out on a limb rarely find the pioneering nugget!

Was the script of this video written by Toto😂😂😂
@robh9577 Says:
They sent him to work on the boat team so they could get around the budget cap, and have him work at arms length *wink wink* Now with the catasta-tractor they swap him back in to try and sort it out. I doubt this will hurt the cap, bit I'm interested to see how they will hide it.
@paultyga4153 Says:
I think they should bring Aldo Costa back to Mercedes

James already made started his recovery at last race and can't wait to see him push all the way to the front soon.

As a Mercedes AMG F1 fan and most importantly Lewis Hamilton fan I'm ELATED........call me CRAZY 🤪 but I'd TAKE James Allison over Adrian Newey. 10/10........The CREATOR of the W11! The W11 under Race SIMS 💨 The RB19 4.4 seconds on a standing start at Bahrain.

F1 technical world and environment is totally different from the "Corporate" world. There's no C-Suite level there to create that aura around a position. It's a matter of understanding the technical regulation and there loopholes, extract the best out of it and put it to the drawing tables and so on. What Merc did with this swap is no strange to the motorsport approach especially when you are or were a winning team, Same like a small driver's error can cost you a pole position or a race win and probably a championship (Vettel German GP 2018), a small design stroke or a design concept can drop you of your throne from one race to another. So I see it a normal move and with no need for fuss about it. James was on technical and design side when Merc was bagging championships with cars 1 or 1.5 secs ahead of competition.

As a Honda/RBR supporter, (and 33 yrs F1 supporter), I truly have to commend James and Mike for this decision. What they did by swopping roles is a hallmark of true professionals. IMO they are putting the team above themselves, and that's so great to see. I believe this change should have rather come earlier, but rather now than end of year. JA is now VERY much required since MB needs to take a decision on car concept, and the experience along with fresh eyes is just what MB needs right now. This WILL give the entire team new confidence.

@WaelAli-sd8sw Says:
So, the rumors were true. Good, this shows that Mercedes internally recognize they had major issues that needed to be solve. Now, I have a big faith that they can restore what has been lost.

@elemkay5104 Says:
If you watch any interviews with James Allison, it's abundantly clear that he knows what he is doing. He is very articulate with his response to any question given to him about the car, the team and anything else you might want to know, more so than perhaps anyone else in the paddock that I've seen interviewed. Plus he's a genuine and humble man to top it all off. The AMA he did on youtube was probably one of the best for motorsports that I've seen.
@annettewejuli2276 Says:
We the fans are so happy to see Allison back because he already proved to the world how he can make the team win championships. I'm someone who calls a spade, a spade. With all due respect to Elliott, yes he's a qualified engineer but people should stop sugar coating the fact that Elliott's skills cannot match the skills of this new era of F1 cars. He has been given enough time but failed to deliver. The best honorable thing to do is to be frank with himself and step a side in shot quit the job because Allison is gonna deliver as always no doubt about it.
@quintonkuppusami4684 Says:
Now they need engine guru AndyCowell back 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
@scottmeredith3359 Says:
Wow, this video came off like you guys got together to try and figure out how you can spin this in the absolute best possible way for Mercedes. All this positive speculation comes off as cover for them, instead of calling it what it is… getting rid of a guy after slightly more than one season for ruining their championship streak.

I never seen a team get their shit together so quickly than Mercedes. Say what you want about them being dramatic & complainer, because they're clearly on a mission.

The elephant in the room. Ground effects. None had previous experience with ground effects. CFD couldn't model it. And the wind tunnel couldn't create a real world environment. These guys are still trying to figure it out.

Questions made like the one in the 10th minute is what is lacking to most journalists nowadays...
@ascari6790 Says:
"Mercedes won't forget how to win" Williams, Ferrari, Maclaren, Lotus, Renault and RedBull all forgot how to win at some point in their history. Some recovered after a period in the doldrums and some have not.
@janengelbrecht Says:
I am very happy that Mercedes is really fighting for the championship by bringing back James Allison. I am excited. I think the drivers are also very happy about this move. This news has Red Bull fans shitting their pants.
@slevingaius Says:
It would be interesting what's next for W series. Will they come to the same logical conclusion as RB or will it be the same with correct improvements to its current concept.
@richardvowler1109 Says:
