I tried to tell Japanese fans Ohtani made the wrong decision by going to the Dodgers. They have the worst reputation in baseball. Now you are seeing why. In true form, half the Dodgers fans are gone by the 9th. I remember one WS game where they were tied in the 8th. A Dodger hit a homerun, and when the camera tracked it, you could see taillights stretching from the field out in the distance like some reverse Field of Dreams. Half the fans were already gone. The Dodger pitchers might be tipping their pitches. Not to anything away from the Padre’s offense, but it might be a good idea for them to check videos. Giving up that many runs in the first inning is a troubling sign.
I wouldn’t count out the Dodgers just yet. The Ohtani factor is still there. I know, I watched him as sn Angels fan.
