Skenes is an absolute monster!! It is a privilege to have him here in Pittsburgh and getting to watch him pitch. Getting lucky in the draft is the only way we have a chance of seeing a pitcher of his caliber in a Pirates uniform. I hope they really consider bringing Chapman back as the closer. They can drop Bednar down in the bullpen, maybe a 7th inning guy or something like that. But they have some really nice pieces in Skenes, Jones, Keller, Cruise, Reynolds, and Gonzales to build around. They need a 3rd and 1st baseman, a right fielder, and depending on what happens with Cruise in center or short, they will need one or the other. They need to bring in as many already established bats that they possibly can, along with some bullpen pieces. The youngins Cook and Yorke are interesting as well. This off-season will speak volumes on whether they are serious about winning next year. And they better do something significant. But as all Pirates fans know, unfortunately, I'm not holding my breath🫡✌️

They need to go 4-2 to finish off the year to end the year with 77, which is 1 more win than last year. What killed the Bucs this year was the pen. Starters were decent. Skenes is awesome. But the pen was the downfall. Solid pen and this team is playing in October. They have the offensive tools to do it and the starting pitching. Bednar needs to go. Priority in off season should be middle relief. Im not sure of Chapman's status in the off season. He isn't too bad but Bednar was just....bad. Things are looking up for 25
