Nice to hear from Ted Lasso on this 😂

USGA, OWGR, and R&A can make a ruling that the present system of 4 day 72 hole competition structure will remain. Major championships should also add OWGR will also be considered instead of flat out entry of the Major winners after two years of winning a Major.

The truth is that the players are becoming more and more greedy for money. There is almost zero honour and loyalty to the fans, game...The players crossing over to LIV always say they are doing it for themselves and their family. You insult our intelligence when you say this. Anyway no one believes this garbage. It's all about money. When you get young guys saying they like the LIV format, which Ernie Els right called circus golf, then these players are definitely clowns. The more these guys earn the more the insatiable lust and greed for more money! Also disturbing is that commentators and fellow players cannot call out the defectors to LIV! Barring one or two players like Ernie Els, Fred Couples... most sit on the fence as can be seen in this interview and the one done with Rose and Day. The sport is no longer about the fans. Greed rules!
@chezchezchezchez Says:
2:18 have you heard from Jon Rahm, himself, yet? 😂😂
@williamfickett177 Says:
Rahm would not turn down 600 million and to say thet his love for the game would over rides that is crazy. He will not turn that kind of cash down. LIV & PGA need to come to an understanding, that's pretty obvious.
@travishimself1973 Says:
Ron Burgundy got it wrong about the team golf. Rahm just said it's one of the reasons he moved to LIV.
@jaretzaslow1449 Says:
Breaking news. Johnson Wagner’s moustache has just joined LIV
@Labgorilla Says:
The PGA tour do not own golf. They have to come to the table with LIV , or else they will be beaten into a pulp. They simply cannot compete going forward. JM has been a disaster in trying to play all sides. Managers like that get removed. And don’t forget the big announcement. Callaway golf will move over with him. They will continue their sponsorship into the LIV tour. That is enormous. I repeat, the PGA tour does not own the game.
@JamesEvans2023 Says:
Maybe Johnson Wagner could have retired early if the PGA paid him more for his 3 tour wins. Now he's stuck doing some lame ass Golf Network gigs talking about people making real money. Sounds like spite there ole Waggy boy shoulda gotten paid more hoe.

JW comments do not show an in depth understanding of the LIV business model. Rahm is going for equity in a team and the PGA cannot provide it. If anything the PGA business model as a non profit is not sustainable. No major is going to garner an audience with 3 players of any stature trading wins in the next 3-5 years. The majors will soon no longer pay attention to the PGA and go their own way. Note the Rahm deal precedes the merger deadline. This was done to mute any counter deals negotiated by the PGA. I think they call this brinkmanship. In poker LIV is calling the PGA hand. If Rahm does join LIV look for more later. The PGA is soon to be in a position whereby LIV will have more say in operations whether they like it or not. If I were the OWGR staff, I would be updating my resume. LIV will be assigned sedes like in Tennis in lieu of ranking points as a go around. Old saying is "follow the money" and it won't be speculation anymore. Guys, the PGA is a 501(c)3 and does not issue stock so cannot sell equity. It is that simple.
@SOLDOZER Says:
Jay Monahan needs to resign. He created this hostile "Us vs Them" atmosphere and things are going very bad for the PGA Tour.

PGA wants to make a deal with Saudi Arabian “LIV” tour? Same country( 12 of the 13 hijacker’s were from Saudi’s Arabia) that killed 100’s of Americans? So sad it’s could happen. God bless our 1st responders.

This guy is so defensive to the point of being delusional
@Debidawg Says:
I love watching Jon but it won’t be humongous..PGA will continue and Rahm will be another greedy exhibition golfer, which will mean nothing IRL
@mattstout856 Says:
Wake up guys, all paths lead to both tours. With the merger, they can easily have both

The boiling frog is an apologue describing a frog being slowly boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if the frog is put in tepid water which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death. The story is often used as a metaphor for the inability or unwillingness of people to react to or be aware of sinister threats that arise gradually rather than suddenly.
@Marky_Muk Says:
Scotty needs to go right now! Get the last team

why is it a clown show? They have the $$$ and they want to spent it. Wagner sounds Jealous because he is making around $100,000 to be on Golf Channel
@brad-suzetteeickman1121 Says:
Yeah, the players on the PGA don't play for money...right.

Losing arguably most electric player to LIV is huge setback and will open door for mad rush for LIV
@prestonbacchus4204 Says:
Jon is a good player, fun to watch, a top five guy even, but he is not a dominant player. The PGA started by Arnie and Jack will survive. Jon will lose more fans than he gains I would wager.
@jadesmith6823 Says:
Norman wins again
@njosephg Says:
I love how these guys are talking about doing it for the love of the game, at this professional level its NOT a game, it's a business and this is what Jon just did, he did it for the business, for his family and possibly 5 generations of his family in the future if not more. Good for him. If the PGA wants to compete they have to innovate.
@dereckguilfoyle1219 Says:
You Americans are so selfish,you dont care at all about the rest of us fans around the world. Youve been poaching best players from every other tour for decades without giving anything back to other tours,What a bunch of hypocrites

Time for the Golf Channel to start hedging its bets. đŸ€”
@c0mbat15 Says:
Golf's probably dead anyway so the players may as well make hay while the Saudi sun shines.
@Golfzilla5000 Says:
what the heck do these guys mean when they say they don't like the "team golf" --- is that Ryder Cup and President's Cup something they hate? They sure don't act like it.
@vincesteer7960 Says:
PGA tour GREED is at fault that this has come to, monopolising golf exclusively in US and forever promoting Tiger at expense of other players. PGA did not listen to player concerns, that is why those individuals starting with Phil departed to LIV.
@robertsaladino Says:
What are the issues with the PGA and players ? I'm a casual fan....
@gilbertlui820 Says:
It’s all thanks to jay for going behind the players back and you golf media , let’s see how you spin it this time, now the pga is a feeder for liv.
@jmad4it258 Says:
I guess when you have your nose up Rory and tigers ass you can’t see who is cleaning your tour .theres a lot more guys going so don’t hate on Jon ,he finally made the right choice for him. Big fish eats little fish boys.looks like this big fish is still hungry and hunting.
@LoCoAde87 Says:
A smack to the legacy of Seve. Two-faced liar.
@Noyb.265 Says:
Just think, he'll even make some BS comment about how he's doing it for his family. How original. You already have enough money. You were grossly overpaid before you ever even tee'd it up on the PGA tour. All for chasing a ball around. And for his lunkhead defenders, never mind the Saudis attacked us on 9/11. All that matters is that you are entertained, right? You people are sick.
