This year the World Rally Championship celebrates 50 years of competition. Over the years the championship has witnessed some truly iconic cars across five definitive eras. To understand how the championship has progressed we pitched 2003 World Rally Champion Petter Solberg the challenge of driving a rally car from each WRC era at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Personally I belive that You Have Ruined the Best parts of this Video By Playing Stupid Music in the Background. As a fan of Skoda - I drove Skoda cars all my life - Im building a replica of Skoda Octavia WRC to take part in a historic rallys. Nice to see the “old” girl with Peter behind it stering wheel. He is not my favorite driver but his pasion for the sport is big and he get all respect from me

That Toyota looked to be very quick. A different beast for sure. It would have been good to have more cars from each decade to get more of an insight into how far the sport has progressed, but still a good event.
