Mixed in with a poor showing from Leclerc, a mixed race for Sainz, poor form from Aston Martin and even damage to Lando Norris's car on the first lap, there's plenty to talk about, so Martyn Lee chats to Matt Kew at the track, and Jake Boxall-Legge on UK soil, to go over everything from Formula 1's 2023 Spanish Grand Prix.

Merc was clearly the 2nd car fastest, I knew they would be fast this race but NOT this fast.
Yes Mercedes gotten a podium last year but you have remember, Charles Leclerc DNF so they clearly would’ve been 4th - 6th at best.
Plus they were a lot closer to Redbull here then last year, I know it’s 24 seconds but last year was 32 - 35 seconds even when Russell had the lead and it was an easy Redbull 1-2.
I still think this is not representative. Maybe the conditions, from the track to weather, got this car in a window?
Canada will be a big test for Mercedes because Aston is bringing crucial updates. And it’s the decider on who’s keeping 2nd in the constructors till the end of the season.

Well, it's not easy for everyone, but try to ignore the existence of RB or at least Max and treat this season as a race of 18 cars. And if you can, find someone else from other teams, especially the midfield teams, to root for, like Yuki or Zhou who both had mega drives this weekend. You'll always feel on edge hoping they would get points every race weekend.

Can never understand that non-sense about British bias. Watch from Italy you get Italian bias, do the same from Netherlands based journalist you get Dutch bias, But the problem always seem to be with British drivers especially when it comes to Lewis. Mercedes did well today but why do you bring oo the mercedes have load of data here bla bla, so does every other team and most have them have the same concept as they did last so they have actual data on their design on that actual track. Where as mercedes have a completly new design never run at the track and only on one previous track and claimed a 2-3 just say well done they did a good job and we will see how they got on over the next 4 or 5 races as to whever they have something or not.
