Analysing Red Bull's RB19 Launch and Ford's F1 Return

????

What does Red Bull's 2023 launch, and announcement of Ford returning to F1, really mean for the team going forward? While the New York launch dragged on a bit, we eventually got to see some cars, but is it really the 2023 RB19? And can Verstappen really defend his title? Jon Noble and Matt Kew discuss this and more. #f1 #formula1 #redbull FOLLOW us online: Website: https://www.autosport.com/ Facebook: http://facebook.com/AUTOSPORT Twitter: https://twitter.com/autosport Instagram: http://instagram.com/autosport Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, and subscribe!

How arrogant must you be to declare Red Bull had been punnished for success? Mercedes in my opinion was punished for success because Red Bull benefited directly from the Mercedes' team given less wind tunnel time. Max won all those races because of the implosion of Ferrari nothing to do with the massive gap mentioned here. When will the Red Bull ass licking stop among these so-called experts?

That’s a new livery?

What GM/Cadillac is chopped liver or not a big enough bran to be acknowledged or mentioned for F1?

GO MAX 🏆. Red Bull had "a pretty dominant season" ! Are you kidding me. MAX HAD 15 WINS !
@bertjilk3456 Says:
The whole launch was a cringe. Shockingly bad. I'm 100% sure that if they gave me all the money they spend on marketing, i could do a better job, AND be rich.

A car launch that doesn’t launch the car. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️
@PbPomper Says:
Ford has the ugliest logo ever. It looks like it's straight from the early 90's. Looks so tacky.
@bevanmcnicholl2525 Says:
This isn't the Rb19 lol, justl like last year its the same car as the previous. We wont see the 2023 car till testing
@russtaylor385 Says:
Hmmmm - methinks RB will be lucky if their engine will be all that good in 2026. I mean RBPT don’t have much to learn do they. Ford can foot the bill. Who really wants to deal with RB?
@beany1987 Says:
The haas teams launch was more interesting and that was mainly computer generated images 🤣 red bulls launches get more and more boring each year.
@Meine.Postma Says:
Does this mean that after the death of Dietriech Mateschitz the new Red Bull owners want to decrease their F1 costs? Given the cost cap one would assume that the RB budget will not change because of the Ford investment. And I can't imagine the Ford technicians would add much to the developing of F1 technology
@kieferclarkf1674 Says:
I'd like to know how Honda feel about Ford essentially rebadging their engine for 2026 onwards. Sure Ford is tasked with working on the MGU-K and RBPT will continue development of the ICE, but come on that ice is still a Honda. I bet Honda regrets selling the intellectual property of the engine to Red Bull. And at 10:46 McLaren and Honda worked from the UK and Japan flawlessly from 88-92, it can be done from two locations it just comes down to management but I agree it's better to be done under one roof.

Toto Wolffe playing down the upcoming season.... Are you guys stupid. He has been doing everything but keeping a low profile on the W14.

@daniels.2720 Says:
Ford will not last...History will repeat itself. Sad mistake as far as Redbull will find out in due time
@Vincornelis Says:
Porsche wanted a stake in the team. Nothing wrong with that but obviously Red Bull wasn't prepared to give a third party any influence over the running of the team. The Ford deal is much more straightforward. They're happy to just build the engine, have their name on the car and let Red Bull run the team. Ford just wants to get it's name out there. They don't need to be involved in running the team to do that.
@carisi2k11 Says:
This is just an RB18. Mercedes only got there act together for 1 race. Other then that they still had a huge gap to Red Bull of about 7/10ths.
@indopleaser Says:
hope this doesnt become a growing trend, everyone releasing their care twicee
@spikewalker6690 Says:
Can someone help me understand why, if it's likely that Red Bull were already operating at the cost cap (as seems likely), what the investment from Ford is going to accomplish? Is this a sneaky way of avoiding the cost cap? Are Ford taking up some of the financial slack left by departing sponsors? What can be done with this Ford money that wasn't already happening?
@3ne2nr4life Says:
The rb18 was already the perfect monsta... Why change it if it wasn't broke..
@nnt8584 Says:
With D.Matesich gone, all the idiotic fu**ery may commence. Back with Ford? Really?
@frankdatank5002 Says:
Why didn’t you people in the media cry so much about a team dominating when Mercedes and Lewis were doing it?! Max wins 2 hell even at the start of 2021 it was omg it’s getting boring new rules please meanwhile after worthless Nico beat Lewis we had way more than 2 championships won by Lewis in the greatest car ever made and silence. Not boring at all according to Brits. I never heard a Brit complain once about it getting boring!!! Meanwhile even Bottas in a Benz was 45 seconds ahead of the rest but Lewis won so it somehow wasn’t boring. Btw the reason Lewis will never be the goat and Michael and senna will is lewis got beat by Nico!!! He is average at best and that’s me being nice!! If that wasn’t enough the other reason is Lewis couldn’t hold off Max for 1 lap to win the title in the best car on tires that were still in their life window that ran in clean air the whole!! Checo showed us a inferior car on actually shot tires could do it!!! Senna got screwed against his for the title once but look at who his teammate and Senna owned him so bad he left….
@reggie5 Says:
Well that discussion was much more interesting and well put together than the "launch"!
@yanyansen1957 Says:
What a bad presentation in New York, unworthy of sponsors, incredibly bad PR
@zakvilanilam3388 Says:
I don't think it's wise for a front-running team to go with an unproven manufacturer. The last thing RB wants is another 2015-17 McLaren-Honda disaster. They should let Ford power Alpha Tauri first to gain experience.
@Rodejong Says:
Honda continues to manufacture and assemble engines for Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri under the terms of its 2022-2025 agreement. Ford will partner Red Bull Racing, develloping and batching the 2026 engines, as Red Bull Ford Power Trains engines.
@waynetowers5046 Says:
I remember when F1 teams launched their cars. It was a thing, it's true.
@Thoughmuchistaken Says:
The Ford tie up makes a lot of sense for both. These launches however are tedious to say the least, only improved on when you have a front man like Lawrence Stroll who elevates the tediousness and cringe factor to entertaining levels. .... Also I only watched a minute or two of the RB19 launch, but CC on youtube was calling Danny Ric, Daniel Retardo, easy mistake I suppose.
@Al3xisAE Says:
Crapest launch and most boring car. Was it the 2022 livery car again? Anyone want to buy a Ford Focus estate?
@psychobergmuis6281 Says:
Ford is nothing more than a sticker
@nofxceghxst9192 Says:
Red Bull: "Andretti can't join cause Cadillac-Renault badge exercise!" Also Red Bull: RBPT Honda "Ford" engine go brrr
@dmaharry7976 Says:
Lazy hand by RB. Yes brand Identity, but Christ put a sticker on it or something
@zeus-mt7wx Says:
RB will win next 3 championships. Then when new crap comes out, it will be Ferrari turn for next 7 yrs.
@divorcelawyersuicideencour9461 Says:
So does this mean that Honda backed out again for the 2nd time in two seasons? LOL. Guess Honda does have integrity after all to disassociate themselves with cheats and frauds.
@zeus-mt7wx Says:
Who cares.
@cajunstrat Says:
Chef Adrian's latest masterpiece.
@mugshotmarley Says:
I believe the drivetrian hasnt changed much, with RBR still making it. It's just Ford paying hundreds of millions to put their name on it.
@ml8022 Says:
Modern day carlauches are just to show the livery.
