President Joan Laporta wants to carry out a squad rebuild at Barcelona the same way he did back in 2003 when 14 players left Barcelona and 11 newcomers arrived, indicates Diario Sport. The Catalans would be able to sell almost everyone but seven players: Eric Garcia, Ronald Araujo, Pedri, Gavi, Nico, Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati. Interesting to note that the 'no-touch' list doesn't include players like Frenkie de Jong and Marc-Andre ter Stegen who are key links in the current squad and besides that, they are relatively young. However, if Barca intends to make that kind of rebuilding, they will need to earn additional funds by selling players first.
