Medevev needs more penetration with the slower balls eg hit it flatter but not easy to keep consistency. Maybe needs to look at his technique on forehand. Take ball earlier come to the net more develop and do more drop shots. All part of the fun of playing tennis finding answers to being beaten ie what you need to do differently or better.

1:03 Does anyone know the name of this journalist?
@lorainecoetzee947 Says:
Totally agree with Taylor about the coaching what he says is very smart. Huge respect for him on this point
@K22channel Says:
Taylor 👍 the game is between two.
You and your mind🙏
@kkumarila4018 Says:
That jacket looks good on Daniil! Daniil I hope you have a good rest we will wait for you.
@marcinmm3644 Says:
No Idea? is he gone blind to his consistent mistakes? Your double faults since 2022 have been costing you so many close matches. Get a coach to fix your serve. Barely 2 years left before your career will finish. And on top of that, Poor arrogant attitude of shrugging shoulder as if he is doing some favor on others. I used to follow him so closely but no more.
@BigOllieSpin Says:
Medvedev so unlucky this year, both finals were against Alcaraz and Sinner and lost to them in 3/4 slams and the times he wouldnt have faced them (madrid for example or paris) he either lost early or got injured man
He will be back stronger
@BigOllieSpin Says:
Both guys are so well spoken
@MaxMaxim-x4v Says:
Great interview by Fritz
@VivekKumar-lv5yk Says:
Play as great as your jacket its awesome
@crgb386 Says:
Shameful!!!
@MaxMaxim-x4v Says:
Its also distracting for other player, when coaching is done loudly.
@chuckfriebe843 Says:
Agree with Taylor on coaching. Is bullshit. They changed it because they couldn’t stop Tsitsipas’s dad from coaching him. Now look. His dad is gone and Stefanos can’t win.
@Roberto-bf7us Says:
Can someone explain to me what the problem with the ball that they are alluding to? I haven't been following closely. Thanks in advance.
@elecbass100 Says:
It's an interesting point by Taylor, but much like using data points and things, still, the individual player will have to make the decisions to accept or incorporate or reject the coach's advice or direction. It shouldn't be an order, but an advice to still have to problem-solve and execute. It's not like the coach gives the player an answer that is a puzzle piece to solve that other player.
@sohailhines Says:
Regarding coaching, it's a complicated issue and topic. The main problem with prohibiting coaching is that *when it was illegal* it became very difficult to enforce and it became unfair to the players who were following the rules. Coaching instruction can be sent via text messages and so many other ways. Legalizing coaching makes it fair because both players can be coached - in theory - just as well and as much.
@CarmenZikeli Says:
Simply the best.Nice,honest and happy??I think he is thankful for being here,healthy and very Sympathised. They are all really tyred in the end of such ayear...He knows that there are much worse things happening in the world today as winning a tennis match 😊😢Chapeau ,MEDDY 😂🎉❤
@GioBell-wj2we Says:
During his press conference Medvedev was as disrespectful and offensive as he had been towards his opponent, the chair umpire, and all paying spectators during the match. If that is how he feels he should have stayed home. Fritz is not much of a talker, but he is spot on whenever he does. I bet Ferrero's ears are burning right now..
@mt817 Says:
Reasons Why I Get Bored with Taylor's Conversations
@mt817 Says:
He needed a break. I don’t think he misses every single tournament.
@AllgoodthingsTv Says:
Damn, Taylor gave a better interview than Medvedev in this one. A lot more in depth and insightful answers. His reasoning about the coaching made sense to me.
@antonydandan6255 Says:
If i were Meddy I would be really super BORED to Scannagatta’s question. Cmon Ubaldo, give yourself a better life!
@Pfaz001 Says:
Reading through Daniil's words it appears he's fighting mild depression issues. If so he should have really rested like Djokovic decided to do.
@rishiwalker2027 Says:
I fully agree with Taylor on coaching. The strategy and mental side of the tennis is intrinsic to the sport.
@aBeatleFan4ever Says:
8:33 I completely agree with Taylor's take on the coaching. Well said.
@shamindrahewavithana5174 Says:
Change your coaching staff please 🙏
@seanbinder8316 Says:
Love Meddy keep it up. Have a relaxing few weeks off after the tourney and come back strong next year.
@LadyMul Says:
I only came here to hear Medvedev he always does great interviews but Fitz was really insightful about the coaching and made this a good press conference ❤
@esperanzakellysaldana20 Says:
Dear Daniil , I never be able to meet you on person , but I follow all your career , you have the right to be frustrated with your self ,but try to remember that you are on tv , we all watching you ,we all loving you ❤❤❤
@paulm.8554 Says:
The coaching is already getting ridiculous. They might as well wear a headset and have the coach call every play.
@bandita2068 Says:
Here me sitting, feeling as a dummy, who hoped Meddy will help out Rublev to manage his anger issues...
Fully agree on coaching with Fritz, as so does with every competitive singles player... it is like woke agenda in tennis > I play with my team but identfy as singles player > joke...
@Restrivuno Says:
Medveded when loses acts like a child. Grow up, man!
@joenovak247 Says:
Agree 100% about coaching. Carlos would ultimately be a better play in the long run bc he relies way too much on coaching.
@Kumagood Says:
Meddy was too childish
@YSA-qx5ki Says:
This was a great PC from Taylor Fritz actually. He is smarter than people give him credit for. He seems like a nice chill dude too. Unlike other Americans Shelton Tiafoe and Michelsen who are super arrogant.
@YSA-qx5ki Says:
Tough times recently 😢 for Daniil. He is too tired to fight and said he wanted to retire on court. Getting zero pleasure from the game. Dude sounds low-key depressed 😔. Not sure off season is long enough for him to revive himself. He’s so aware of the threats ahead and behind him he doesn’t believe he is good enough anymore 😢. But he is. I believe in him so do his fans. Rest up and get help dude 🙏
@bassman12 Says:
i guess he's most frustrated that so many players passed by and he has no weapon to win big tournaments whatsoever...
@Buckaroo801 Says:
Fritz, stop saying “I think…I believe…etc.”. Just own what you have to say with confidence and believe me, that mental shift will take you further than you realize. It starts with what you say inside your mind, what you then say out loud and ultimately in your actions. You have no idea who I am…so take that with a grain of salt but know that it’s advice worth considering. Best of luck young man!!
@bbhyunyzhi Says:
You’ll comeback stronger Meddy. We love you. And we all believe in you. You’re an amazing player 🤍
@massimobonucci Says:
like you
@gablan1468 Says:
Taylor's answer to coaching was brilliant.
Says:
Perfect interview Taylor 👏
@nicolapipan7830 Says:
Really interesting considerations on coaching made by Fritz from 8:55 onwards. I personally agree with him: the 1 on 1 mental/tactical aspect of the game is such an important part of the sport, and coaching kinda spoils it.
@marcoperezzani5960 Says:
Fritz is absolutely right on coaching
@nirabdhungana7117 Says:
The second journalist exactly spoke with Medvedev’s accent 😂😂😂
@wingberry123 Says:
Recharge Daniil! Looking forward to see you in AO finals 2025.
@shikhab2250 Says:
Daniel is finished unless he changes his game he too realizes it that now his opponents know what to expect from him and thus winning he hasn't evolved in a long time this is so sad given how nice he is as a person and he is actually a very good player maybe a coach change of a second coach introduction would help. Federer for the longest time kept his racquet and when he did change started winning more against nadal djokovic I can't remember how many times has changed coaches all these players are good becuase they know their limitations and work towards eliminating them
@Yepperpepper Says:
It’s crazy how life works you think the grass is always greener. 2011 he posted on Twitter how he made his first 150 bucks on the futures tour….imagine his hunger to succeed. Now look at him…he has the life people would dream of and you can surely see he’s not happy. Wild how things work.
@Yepperpepper Says:
I just assume that competing at high level takes the enjoyment out of tennis. The constant grind and stress and scrutiny. He would rather be sitting as his computer gaming or much like steph curry says he would rather be golfing than playing on the court. It’s just a job at the end of the day. Gotta appreciate the honesty though. If I was his mentor or coach I would tell him to take a year off and recharge and get away from the game. He would have a different perspective if he took time away IMO.
