I’m a dodger fan and it’s so crazy that this was ohtani first postseason/playoffs and he played this well clearly not typical ohtani but better then average
when he answered the reporters question when he asked him “are you nervous” and ohtani said nope so nonchalantly he literally meant it
Cinderella story
First year with the dodgers
First playoffs for him
Obviously first World Series
And first ring for him
🐐

What's scary about Sho is that he doesn't try to stare down the pitcher after a SO - he watches the big screen replay and thinks - next AB, I'm knocking that pitch outta here!

All this and he has yet to officially throw a pitch in October.

Unfortunately, Ohtani couldn't bring about his real power ability for WS because of his unexpected injury, but it's not too much to say that he obviously led Dodgers'
NL victory by his achievements throughout this season. Dave should have given the first speach time to Shohei for this day ceremony at Dodger stadium. Why
did he give him the last speaker? Was it language problem? He spoke perfectly.

The Dodgers can be a dynasty and win a few more Championships, they're already are the team of the decade with two titles so far.
@Bryan-hj3bj789 Says:
Shohei Ohtani in his first season with the Dodgers exceeded all expectations, he's an injured pitcher almost won a battling title and a triple crown, went 50-50 and won a World Series Championship. That is what legends are made.
@lattethecat6232 Says:
Disappointed!!!
@edwin-vv8bw Says:
So happy for Shohei, there's no player that deserved a Championship more than Ohtani, the Goat 🐐 has his title.
@Leo-ks3tf Says:
I can't wait to see Ohtani play again next season. Instead of 50-50 I think he will go 50 and 20 (50 HRs and 20 Wins) Shohei won 15 games with a 2.33 ERA a couple years ago on an Angels team that were 72-90, there is no doupt Shohei can win 20 games pitching for the Dodgers (As great as 50-50 Is with speed and power, going 50-20 is even greater with power and pitching.
@booshiet Says:
It takes a whole team to win the championship. Shohei carried the load on the regular season, and the rest of his teammates carried the load on post season and WS. Maybe Shohei got nervous, pressure, expectations and injury that his performance during WS was off track. He needs motivation from teammates to play better.

Haters and salty people, You can cry harder at the corner that your team and fav player did not win this season. NO wonder your team LOST cause they had DELUSIONAL fans like you.

What a Miserable real life you must have then. Getting a kick with spreading hates, negativity and BS online all the time😅😂
@larson-xp2fm Says:
Ohtani carried the Dodgers to the World Series, hit a 3 run HRs against the Padres also in game 3 against the Mets he hit a 3 run HR, the next day had a 1st inning HR in game 4, Ohtani hit .365 in NLCS and through the postseason he was 18 for 23 in RISP. In the World Series had a triple scored the tying run that led to Freemans HR. In game 2 he got injured but still willing to play, a heart of a Lion. In his first season with the Dodgers he help win a Championship🏆

@이영돈-r4r Says:
Ohtani is amazing! He is now bridging the friendship between Korea and Japan!
As a Korean, we have a tragic history of experiencing slavery, forced labor, Unit 731 by Japanese colonialists in WW2, which the Japanese denies and has never apologized to this day. But despite this, we acknowledge Ohtani in Korea. I am glad how we can all be united in sports.
@ibvocean Says:
Not being critical of him but Ohtani seems to strike out quite a bit while being efficient with great hitting averages at the same time. Can someone explain to me why?
@lnn7439 Says:
Ngl Ohtani was a walking out.
@petervoyt24 Says:
After watching this video and seeing his performance in the World Series, I'm sorry but I just don't understand all the media hype about Ohtani. IMO his skills and performance are average at best.

He still sonnect and have good discipline. You could see frustration as times goes on but I felt a little nudge here and there and he will be a good player in the post seasons.
@トイプードル-n1i Says:
Data shows that in the postseason, if a team falls behind by three runs, their chances of a comeback are nearly zero. Yet, in a 3-0 situation, Shohei broke that curse with a three-run homer! Without it, I believe we would have lost to the Padres and been eliminated. That’s how crucial this home run was!
@KanetsuguNaoe1112 Says:
The “Ohtani haters” conveniently forget his performance in the NLDS and NLCS and only point to his slump in the World Series. But taking the Dodgers to the promised land and his teammates honoring him was the essence of team sports. No matter how much they hate, Ohtani has finally earned his championship ring and is set to win his third unanimous MVP.💙🦄👏
@sar4806 Says:
Ohtani haters will hold on to him not performing well in the WS despite dislocating his damn shoulder. He should’ve and would’ve been out in any other situation but knew the psychological impact of him staying in the lineup would still benefit the team.
@allennixon4745 Says:
Yankee fan here sad that we didn’t win but really happy for Shohei Ohtani He deserved this World Series win. If we had to lose to somebody, It would definitely be him. Congrats to Dodgers.

@patriciaKnightley Says:
For the sake of critiquing… the facts are his hitting in the WS wasn’t high. But he contributed in the DS or Dodgers don’t win that series
@ycl3148 Says:
Shohei carried his team to the playoffs when his teammates got injured. And when Shohei got injured and can’t play well in WS, his teammates stand up. That’s how Dodgers win the championship with great teamwork.
@Brian-bb9bl Says:
People so obsessed about his WS performance and not looking back on his performance during the NL West championship series, NLDS, and NLCS. it's about time other players do their job in the WS. After all, shohei can't really exert himself given his should dislocation.
@NaaaNaNan-zb5di Says:
New Yorkers are still crying😭😭😭
@Zagirus Says:
It's absolutely fascinating how almost everyone conveniently developed a selective memory about Ohtani's injury, right? It's like, who even remembers that inconvenient little detail of his shoulder dislocating in Game 2? It's almost like injuries are just totally minor inconveniences that don't have any impact at all, especially on the shoulder of an athlete who just might need it for, oh I don’t know, hitting and running.
But let's not trouble ourselves with such trivialities, shall we? I’m sure there’s some cosmic truth in overlooking the fact that Ohtani couldn’t exactly dazzle us from the dugout while nursing what is surely just a slight, insignificant shoulder dislocation. I mean, why let a practical necessity like a functioning shoulder interfere with a good old-fashioned narrative about his supposed lack of performance through injury-induced pain after Game 2?
And before that injury, it's as if Ohtani's clutch double in Game 1, the one that tied the game 2-2 in the 8th and set up Freddie's grand slam, never happened. Funny how that moment doesn't fit the narrative, huh? Heaven forbid we recognize how that hit prevented the Yankees from casually strolling through Game 1 without a dramatic, spirit-crushing walk-off. And sure, let's keep pretending that Ohtani's pivotal contribution to the Dodgers' spark was just completely irrelevant.
Seriously, it seems like no one remembers Ohtani's great LCS performance before the devastating injury, where he had 1.184 OPS, .364 batting average, leading with 9 runs all while moonwalking through bases with his 17 TIMES on base. With a mind-boggling .818 with RISP, the dude basically turned baseball into an artform. He was the unsung NLCS MVP. But of course, let's pretend none of that brilliance ever happened, all because he didn't magically homer in every game with just one hand in the WS.
Not to mention Ohtani saved the team from getting swept by the Padres with his clutch 3-run homer. Without Ohtani, the Dodgers would’ve undoubtedly thrown in the towel in that game and gracefully rolled over, just as they’ve perfected in the last two years.
In summary; these casual critics have such a gift for missing the point entirely, don't they? Overlooking his obvious injury and instead, conveniently summing up his WS as "did nothing", as if the obstacles he faced weren't glaringly obvious and didn’t carry the Dodgers to the WS.
@holyelixir4580 Says:
dude was somehow less impactful than Aaron Judge in the World Series, MVP Curse maybe?
