The quality of the match was of a grand slam finals. This was a treat for the Chinese crowd. Alcaraz was up a break in first set, could not finish serving it out, then Sinner wins the tie break. Alcaraz again up a break in third set, Sinner gets the break back, took it to a tie break. Alcaraz down 0-3 in tiebreak, but somehow managed to win the set and match.

They both have two grand slams but in my opinion Carlitos was the best player of the year. His destruction of Novak in the Wimbledon final was impressive.

As an italian, on the one hand I feel sorry for Sinner, but on the other I take my hat off to Alcaraz. I hope, however, that Sinner will have the opportunity to win next time and that he'll have rematch with Alcaraz in the future. Just as I hope he'll have his rematch with Rublev and Nadal too.
