Watching old Roger match highlights is always entertaining, but watching all these "weaker wing" BH passing shots whiz by Henman is hilarious. People always criticized Roger for the lack of winners off his BH but part of that is because after 2006 guys just didn't come to the net as often. It's just harder to hit tons of rally winners with a single hander.

When offensive players were sucessful on hard courts ... Pleasure to watch this kind of tennis
@JMontes-t3d Says:
If Tim had played in the 70/80 era, he would’ve won a couple of slams. He was better than most players at net but lacked the baseline game. Roger’s game was far more complete.
@mrparker4597 Says:
Great to see some Henman highlights. The guy was a great player and a staple of many childhoods here in Britain! The guy made the most of his talent, reaching 4 in the world and 6 grand-slam semis!

I will never forget suffering I had to endure in 2000s in regards of tennis. Living in Croatia it was impossible to watch all these amazing matches, Internet was bad, no streams.. I missed so many matches😢

6:23 Never heard that sound from Roger before lol
@marinivan44 Says:
Tim henman, gran jugador
@andrewsmith3613 Says:
Some of Henman's approaches are suicidal. He is very good at the inside out forehand to the opponents backhand and then the easy kill. Looks like De Minaur the way he attacks those balls.
@thegreatNEb Says:
Henman was never the modern athlete, but his touch at net was soooo good.
Has any other pro use slazenger rackets since? It's almost quaint seeing Tim decked out in all British gear, but I assume at the time they were as good an option as other brands (like Nike, wilson, etc) if a top 10 pro was using them?
@stephennguyen5428 Says:
How different tennis was 20 years ago! Who you matched up against and your personal style actually mattered, vs today when it's just who can smack it harder.

When tennis had variation ❤

I love very much one handed backhand players😊😊
@DrPravZ Says:
Tim Henman, just one strategy, hit to the backhand of the opponent and run to the net. Well, that's like all the S&V players 😅

Jawohl Europa 😊👍🏆

Poor Tim...

Angry Djokovic fans incoming. 😂
@BrotherTree1 Says:
I remember this tournament. Roger had a freak nightmare during his sleep and hours later, he almost lost to Suzuki who was ranked outside of the top 1000. After he survived that, the rest was history and he cruised to the Tokyo title.
@LaDariusNorris Says:
It's unfortunate that a lot of folks today won't realize that Tim Herman is probably top 5 best players to never win a major. Probably the best serve and volleyer not named McEnroe, Becker, or Edberg.
@PeterFruits-hm8rc Says:
Theyre purposely not showing the color of the shorts so we cant work out who is who ? 😢
@stickyrice2141 Says:
2017 Federer would probably triple bagel Tim Benman.

@HasanVurucu Says:
This version of tennis is really entertaining to watch. Amazing times. These days the crowd goes crazy when someone approaches the net.

This type of tennis is impossible nowadays. Just imagine coming to the net against Sinner or Roublev.

@pacochuquiure5459 Says:
Henman was not one of the most gifted players during the early 00's yet he was one of the few who kept playing at this point in time (2006). By this year the likes of Rafter, Kafelnikov, Ríos, Kuerten were already retired or on the verge of it. This is one of the reasons that Federer dominated between 2004-2008: he only had to compete with his own generation and the lesser players from the previous one.
@Outlandish0 Says:
Federer wouldn't even be Top 5 in this era
@RealisticAndTrue Says:
Henman actually played really good, i forgot about this one... thanks for the footage 👍
@CommanderGinyu Says:
This version of Federer would get destroyed by any version of Djokovic. He was trash and only won because henman sucks

When i saw the year I already know that Federer is the winner of the match, just 2006 was something unique, 92 wins and only 5 losses against only 2 different players and 2 losses on hard court in all year, prime Roger it's something special
@vijayendranvijay4538 Says:
Scary stuff from the REAL GOAT...players like novak must feel happy that he didnt get to face this version of roger ever...Roger got to face 2011 and 2015 novak but novak was giving breathing excuses during roger's prime...
@kowaio-ijimenaideo Says:
Oh yeah.Japan(´・ω・`)
@MrTurbo87lx Says:
Henman was such trash
@29blazehead Says:
Nice match! I've never seen much of Henman so its nice to actually see a match from him. He showed up in some tennis video games, around the time, but I never actually saw him play. Also hadnt seen a lot of matches from 06 Federer that many talk about so much.
@romainmj7245 Says:
It’s great you upload footage of Federer peak back in 2005-2007 cause people dont have access to many matches back then Federer played when he was absolutely flawless !
@Unnamed_Traveller-h8f Says:
Why does the footage look like it was recoreded in the 90s?
