Probably the best of Roddick when he was hitting his forehand the best and most committed (barring that last wimbledon run where he had roger so so close).

Roger Federer: And I took that personally...
@lookatcurryman8793 Says:
Born in the wrong era and run into prime Roger. If he’s at his peak today, he’s winning more than one grand slam 100%
@Marekxk Says:
16 plus mins on Roddick. Enough credit said😂😂😂
@Blaine_96 Says:
From 2004-2009 only 3 men got to the final at Wimbledon... One of them was Andy Roddick. Very unappreciated player that you don't hear mentioned too much these days.
@Laharl890 Says:
Damn, don't recall seeing short haired nalbandian before lol.
@tdc_2021 Says:
Reebok in tennis. Two solid lines for the Babolat logo. Brad Gilbert teaching players how to win ugly. Andy Roddick spanking the ball on the serve and forehand. Popstar girlfriends. Those were the days. I forgot what an amazing mover he was. So quick.

Bro so unlucky to play during prime federer
@SweeranSwift Says:
why no footage from US OPEN?
@SweeranSwift Says:
THE ONLY TIME HE BEAT FEDERER! LOL
@SweeranSwift Says:
Retired at only 30. What a shame.
@SweeranSwift Says:
OVERRATED...His opponents were so easy....And A AMERICAN WHO ONLY WIN one US OPEN ON HIS CARRER.......Well well
@commonwealthedison2640 Says:
Very Fortunate to win two of these. Was down a late break in the third against Federer, and match Point vs nalbandian.
back then Rodrick's forehand like Federer, with thunder serve he could win more. instead he switched to be a pusher with average topspin and volley
@chaltier4 Says:
His non-pushy forehands are a huge contrast compared to what would come later. Like even in this highlight reel he's not necessarily ripping *everything* off that side ala Blake but his standard rally balls had a lot more zip and penetration while still having a solid margin for error, and when he chose to flatten it out... well, we all know.
@ThomasBodlos Says:
Jawohl Machac 😊👍
@インコ-l8e Says:
Can Shelton be him?
Big serve and big forehand, he is still young and has great potential if sharpened.
I think that only match Roddick won against Federer after that even in Aus Open final got trashed. Poor Andy if not can get mor Slams.
@nguyen925 Says:
My god, if Andy had continued to develop his back hand to hit down the line... Or take little off the first serve to aim it a bit better to leave him in a more opportunistic situations to hit winners.. geezus. He would have won 2 or so majors.
Still had a grwat career though! Especially since his brother was supposed to be the tennis star 😢
@got2bjosh Says:
Fingers crossed for Ben Shelton.
@StewNWT Says:
I feel like Andy had more skill from the baseline than he gave himself credit for. He needed to hit out and hit big on the FH more and his BH was rock solid. THe net rushing and grindy defense later in his career was suicide
@vasDcrak Says:
The last time an American won a slam?
@A-dt2vl Says:
Why go from flat penetrating forehand to loopy slow forehand?
@masters.1000 Says:
Back when players had to win 6 matches to win a Masters and five setters in the final for most of them.
@FedMad Says:
Best Roddick imo. Incredible serve, FH and speed.
He also saved a mp against Nalbandian in the US Open SF, who i think had his left wrist injured and issues in his abds.
@kevinmurtagh4996 Says:
That Montreal run was something else. He beat many quality opponents. Also, if he didn’t beat Federer in that semifinal, Federer would have ended up year-end #1 instead of Roddick. That match turned out to be pretty much a hall of fame-clinching win, although he didn’t know it at the time of course.
@ВиталийЦаль-ч7я Says:
And salty Djokovic fanboys really insisting that Roddick was "weak era" that Federer had played and won slams against
@andreazonin Says:
Andy after 20 years is still the last american to win a Slam, to become n1 and to finish the year as n1.
@RanchoViejoo Says:
I remember how Nalbandian was robbed in the Usopen semifinal by the judge lines
@habeebaina6924 Says:
A very accomplished cut-up of highlights. I particularly enjoyed the inclusions of the handshakes and some of the lighter moments between the points....
This was a fabulous trip down memory lane. It's amazing to think it's been over 20 yrs...
It reinforced what a tennis geek I was at the end of high school, as I still remember the first names of his opponents in those 2 masters title runs....
I didn't remember Roddick coming to the net as much as saw in these he.lites as well.
@marianogattolin41 Says:
Crack de cracks, ojala hubiera jugado un poco mas de tiempo
@diegosotomiranda4107 Says:
His poor work at the net shows even on his best momments, one of the biggest reasons he didnt stay much at the n1, just with a swrve and a fh you cant dominate the sport outside a dream season
@federicotown8052 Says:
That was an amazing year from Roddick !
@Timmichanga361 Says:
More Slams than Nick Kyrgios and Ben Stiller combined
