There was a time when the Japanese team were mostly well umm Japanese… but not the case now. It seems a bit dodgy
@XxFuzzballsxX Says:
Canada has been on a steady decline since the 90s and a steep one ever since the 2011 world cup where they performed admirably. Internal politics, nepotism and a complete diaconnect from transitioning strategy to a more modern game have basically flung them a decade back in terms of national team development. They used to beat/give the better tier 2 countries a run for their money. They barely look like they'd compete against the likes of Gemany now.

International team of Japan
@fredrikrugby Says:
Looks like Japan's performance depends on how they naturalise players
@Outdoorcookwarereviews Says:
Wow what happened to Canadian rugby? A lot of the Canadian guys play MLR. It's sad Canadian rugby used to be far stronger!

Japan should’ve scored bit more but I guess it was enough results to seal the victory
@WhoAmEye187 Says:
Japan looks more like barbarians 😂😂😂
@francariglino Says:
It's just sad to see 90% of the tries scored by Japan are not from Japan-born players
@user-qk4uz6pc4s Says:
カナダは良いチームです。 この勝利の仕方を観て、 JAPANは嬉しいですか??
@andrewsmith-cm9qw Says:
In the 90s Canada was moving to be a powerhouse and serious competitor in world rugby when did it start to go wrong?
@jasonmoser8957 Says:
back in the early 90s they called Canada and emerging power. It's been a long fall.
@SimonKing-z4u Says:
These highlights are a joke. Whole bunch of tries missing and I would hardly call a 50-odd points to 28 drubbing a thriller...
@Samizouza Says:
Even the "Japanized imports" are running all over Canada who really need to sack everyone in charge at HQ.
@685inthefatu Says:
That 10 is good for Japan
@Waks23 Says:
There needs to be a limit of imports for japan. How else are they gonna grow and improve as a country
@danielburgess7785 Says:
Team play with some flair. Go Japan.
@MariusLGerber Says:
wow what an embarrassment, internal politicks, is still strong in Canada.

2:49 I really, really like how he bounced there. Been watching it a few times.

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔,the japan #11 was NEVER an All Black.....he only played for the NZ U20 side
@greekfun26 Says:
thriller???

1:12 Has anyone ever seen Peter Nelson make a tackle? I'm asking seriously lol
@FMJParis18 Says:
It missed a few tries.

日本人もっと出してくれよ
@majorowe Says:
yeah. I don't have the same definition of a THRILLER that World Rugby does. Usual exageration to polish a flogging.
@garywagner2466 Says:
Pathetic effort from Canada. Three minutes in and players are already standing around, looking at each other with annoyed expressions, putting hands on knees, and showing little enthusiasm. Very weak tackling. The Rugby Canada brain trust on the men’s side should all resign in shame. If they don’t have the balls to resign, fire them. But what international level coach would take over such a poorly organized national program? There is no overall strategy. This is not a professional setup. The grassroots get no attention at all, but Rugby Canada thinks new, young, quality players will somehow just materialize, like magic. The national foundation of administrators, officials, players, supporters, and sponsors has eroded significantly over the past twenty years. Facilities, never great, are declining. Even Fletcher’s Fields are gone! The media could not care less, especially about massacres like this one against an odd touring side from Japan with few Japanese players. World Rugby, what is that all about?!
@knowmean Says:
Great match. Nice to see Canada finding their rhythm. Well done to Japan, looking fantastic.

Looks like these Canucks are all over the place!

2019年の成功以降、日本ラグビーは衰退しています。 外国人選手がとても多く共感を得られていません。少子化も深刻です。
@hraklispapageorgiou6926 Says:
Defence really wasn’t a thing in this game 😂
@bennwaters5851 Says:
Didn’t see any special attacking shape from this Japan team. They played well though for a young side. Canada were poor though and not in the game for long stretches of it. They really struggled with the speed and power of the Japanese in contact. That’s surprising because lately Japan has struggled with the power of the opposition in their home summer series. I think Fiji are far and away the best team in this competition.
@edmundzimmatore9324 Says:
That team does not represent Japan. It’s an international side with a few token Japanese players.
@malindirugbyfootballclub1180 Says:
Ooof
@real_bakerman Says:
Yo .. those guys don't look Japanese 👀
@MarkWhippy Says:
Doesn’t seem like there’s many Japanese in that Japan team.
@JamesWatt-b1p Says:
@Willie Le Roux, are you watching those try assists and offloads?..
@Shendersonsports3003 Says:
Not sure why these are called 'highlights' instead of 'partial highlights'... half of the tries are missing
@shaunesaus2460 Says:
Players should stop jumping on each other when a try is scored. You could see that the player from Canada who scored from the chip got injured when a teamate jumped on him.
@migyman321 Says:
Competition needs to include chile
@ricardocarvalho1290 Says:
canada's second try was from a blatantly forward pass
@andrasszabo1570 Says:
And so, the puzzlement that is Kingsley Jones's continual employment as the Canada head coach continues. This used to be a team that made a World Cup quarter finals. But under him, they can't even qualify to the World Cup. As explained in Squidge's video, Jones's tactics are about 10 years out of date with a complete refusal to adapt, reform and modernise.
@JM-nw2pb Says:
If you take away the non japanese born players,what do you get? anyway every country is doing the same, even New Zealanad with 10 guys
@spancherBob Says:
Shame on Canada. Rugby seems to be dying there.
@cricketReviewChannel211 Says:
That no.5 for Japan is an absolute unit.
@exeterjedi6730 Says:
Canada don't have a team in MLR or in SRA, they did comparatively well here but have a huge distance to make up to become competitive.
@clitering Says:
Wtf has happened to Canadian footy?! Tackling isn’t optional
@alejandrorauch Says:
