Make the golf course harder. These guys miss it 40 yards right and still have a perfect shot in because the rough isn't long enough to cause any problems, and the greens are soft enough to stop it.
@Frank-pi2gz Says:
My thoughts are we need more British Open type courses, pot bunkers, deeper roughs, maybe even smaller greens.
@jakeo5947 Says:
Look at the us open this year, it was the best tournament that I can remember and the leader board was loaded with top players
@eyesaidthat2109 Says:
Bet nobody remembers Mr.59 Al Geiberger?
@azapro911 Says:
I definitely prefer tournaments where the leaders are around par, the pros are immensely gifted but it's silly when they're shooting automatic 63s and lower every round.

Yes

High level professional and amateur tournaments need to limit the forgiveness of the golf clubs. Club manufacturers can put out high level clubs and casual golf clubs
@TBassFactory Says:
Analytics are helping the players find their weak spots with shot link and decisive aggressive vs conservative holes, shots, and lies are playing into lower scores and more birdies nowadays and no one is mentioning that aspect.
@timmyotoole6063 Says:
why does the one guy have symmetrical holes in his eyebrows
@edwardcreighton2638 Says:
Absolutely yes, ruining the game. I have little interest when -28 wins. More fun when -12 wins, winner has a double bogey on the way. Courses set up too easy. Players should be penalised if miss fairways and greens as the distance the ball flies makes many courses redundant.
@jimiverson3085 Says:
When you know the leader isn't going to shoot over par over that last few holes, a big chunk of the drama is lost. Quad Cities was over on the 14th green and pretty well done a couple of holes before that. If there are finishing holes where a guy can make a double or triple bogey, the game ain't over 'til it's over.
@flytii Says:
go back to standard lofts
@kyleconnor2759 Says:
There’s a mix of all kinds of tournaments and scoring levels on tour. It’s fine.
@wreckim Says:
The LA Open at Riviera is always a tough test, and yes, Jack's place...and you have the Majors. Pebble, depends on the weather, but it's a tough test. Otherwise, it's a boring birdie fest because it's not always the same guy going that low...it's just the hot guy. Meaning it's not that special. Scottie is special though; I just want the courses to be set up way more firmer on the greens, and more punishing off the fairways etc..
@markhuru Says:
The seniors too are playing way up tee boxes….
@plantcitychuck2551 Says:
Rather see them struggle like us opens myself
@Thepurolife Says:
Roll the game back 20 years. 28 under is gross. Make it tough again. This driver, wedge game is unsustainable.
@mikerogers1949 Says:
Technology is better, Players are better and stronger mentally. It is what it is… just make par 5s 600 yards and throw in a few 500 yard par 4s
@Scott-nj9gq Says:
It's amazing how good these guys are. I realize technology has changed the game but you still have to make putts.
@hicksrobin42 Says:
Maybe the PGA should let the USGA prep its courses. I was raised to believe that winning scores should be around even par.
@robertwynn5844 Says:
Narrow the fairways. Grow the rough. Slow the fairways. I would much rather watch guys shoot 68-70 each round than 62 and 63's. But the people at the tournament wants long drives and birdies.
@jeremysillito3987 Says:
Yes it's tedious and boring to watch
@petsquirrelable Says:
You guys keep talking about ruining golf over n over and you just might get there.
@dannydollison7465 Says:
People need to stop complaining. Talk of rolling the ball or clubs back does nothing but play into longer players advantage even more. Like all sports, the game has just progressed. Do what you want, it’s still not going to play like it did in years past.
@tonyburkart8404 Says:
Guess I’m the only one that likes it. I think people just hate seeing the pros knock down low 60’s. A lot of these courses have come down to putting. The length is kind of irrelevant. Look at Rory’s record…. I like to see crazy shots and low scores. Pinehurst was as painful to watch as it is to play lol
@justanotherbozo Says:
You are witnessing the results of technological improvements in all facets of the game. Without change expect the scoring trends to continue.
@perryseehoe590 Says:
All true. +4 is the old scratch. 68 is the old 72. Tech is making too many players similar. Soft courses, no wind.... you need more pinehursts.
@jaymoore2154 Says:
Narrow the fairways and grow the rough
@jaymoore2154 Says:
I personally don't enjoy watching a birdie parade
@JBrown79331 Says:
It’s not real golf. Roll the ball and clubs back.
@timkilmer3893 Says:
Don't like the birdie fests....I tried watching the final round of JD, but it couldn't keep my interest...yeh, these guys are good, so set the courses up to make them make shots!
@DaringDan Says:
Birdie fests before Majors are great. Any other time and it bores the heck out of me.
@Sarlat6 Says:
Driver wedge is tedious. A good tournament is where the winner is in single digits under.
@brianscott1894 Says:
yeah make it harder, seems like every course now has a super easy par 5 that every player eagles or def birdies, and a par 4 that is driveable almost... so usga wants to slow scoring down by rolling back ball, and pga makes scoring easy?? lol its way more fun to watch them grind and struggle for par.
@joanrodger352 Says:
Courses are far too easy.The courses don’t test the ability of the professionals.They need tightened up like the Open courses so the best players rise to the top.
