Funny how tne best hitter from the outside is jordan thompson. And USA is just beatable when shes on tbe bench. As a right-side player shes underrated

Not Canadian here. But so proud of them for making this far and continue to soar in world class volleyball.

Canada really showed up for the China match, but Kiera and Alexa both made numerous mistakes and couldn't adjust against the US block. I'm a huge fan of these two, but they need to get back on track soon. Go Dana Rettke! She had some hard hits and classy blocks! =^.,.^=
@PQV-8898 Says:
This is one heck of a strong US team. Quite possibly the best in the world so there's no shame losing to them. Canada even took a set and was close in the other two. The Canadian teams of years past wouldn't be able to take more than 15 points a set so Canada should be proud and continue to improve and beat Germany in their next match. Paris, here we come!

VNL usa should be in nebraska…its a no brainer.
@ajollypanda4175 Says:
Rettke and plumber should always be a package…their block is almost comical; i wish kipp was there, the 3 would be able to do the funniest thing.

Someone from 🇧🇷 told me the crow ld who boos is passionate…I guess 🇺🇸 crowd is not passionate 🥲 Or maybe they are nice to their opponents because its their 🇨🇦 sisters… All jokes aside, I hope 🇨🇦 stays healthy; they will improve the competition at the olympics and internationally for the years to come. We need more teams like that. As for USA… Plummer has proven herself to me internationally. She’s never going to be that amazing passer and floor defender that kiraly prefers, but she makes up in being able to terminate the ball from back row, front row, out of system, a great serve, and the biggest block we can put directly on the opposing opposite . I don’t think she is even competing for a spot; her, Robinson, and larson SHOULD be locked…the 4th spot should go to avery, but knowing kiraly, he is probably looking for a reason this week to keep frantti in that spot. I love thompson, but ive noticed her dicline since last vnl. I’m not sure why others don’t see it. She is just not the same. Always tiping and getting blocked. Maybe she cannot jump as high for some reason, or not getting the sets she likes. The way she used to hit, you would be lucky to get a block on her. She would hit so confidently, over the block and deep like she is practicing. Now she is hitting straight down into it. The fact that she didn’t have a club season, and yet kiraly didnt even bother bring another opposite to experiment with this week makes me confused. Larson, Ive never seen this aggressive, she played as if she isn’t locked in for a spot and wanted to prove she can terminate. Not many tips and tricks today (even though I love them). We need her! Wong orantes, playing much better than week one but she stills seems a bit off reading some plays…the Canadian setter was all over her with the dumps. I want to see hentz play, though I do not think she even has a chance considering wong’s experience. Last but not least, miss O’neal …really love her style, she is one of the best middles ive seen transition from college to the pros. Her domination on the slide hasn’t changed now she is playing with the bug girls…she is a very savy hitter at the middle and doesn’t just go for power players…as for her defense, she’s always had great floor defense in college and probably has the best floor defense of all the middles (rettke ironically is really good too, especially considering her height). I’m just sad because I can’t really see kiraly replacing her with either of the two returning olympic good medalist. Rettke also has more experience internationally and has been playing well. If anything obogu’s season didnt have much to be desired but I don’t think kiraly cares. I wish we could have 4 middles at the olympics , like the usa men lol
