Look at the stress and strain on Pete's face for having to say a lie, a story he doesn't believe, all this talk from the PGA Tour and Americans for trying to keep "traditions" going when LIV changed it all, and here he is, looking at the old ClamBake totally changed into this farcical, serious, hyped, superfluous, SMALL FIELD, no-cut, EXCLUSIVE, ELITEST event now, that removed the Celebrities and any look of charity they would have all brought, with the event still claiming it'll make money without actually saying anything about the HUGE showing that the Celebs would have brought to the area. The whole thing is a JOKE, this new format is a JOKE, and it shows on Pete's FACE, he can't stand the lie he has to say, to try to promote this farce

I wonder if the PGA Tour owned Arnold Palmers digital likeness, maybe the Players need a union

Independent contractor in an individual sport. Go get the most money. Loyalty in business is for sheep.

You're asking Millennials and Gen Z to not be selfish. Good luck with the two most self absorbed generations in American history.

One of my great Honors is shaking Hands with this gentleman but I could not disagree more with this notion players need to be less selfish. If it wasn’t for almost foolish loyalty to the pga tour, the pga tour would have no top players left right now. They guys that left all tried to be loyal and work together but had to do what was best for themselves and the athletes in the long run. Arnold Palmer left the pga of America to make the pga tour. Of course he wasn’t ever going to leave what he created. Same with his partner Jack. The pga tour is lucky players are how they are. I believe in the 90s everyone would have been gone by now no matter what they may say now.

In a world where it's all about the $$$, golf is a only a small part of the culture. I think us dinosaurs values do not have much standing with the 20 - 30 -40 year old pros that see dollar signs first and foremost. It's like saying you can honor your grandfather or father's value system or have an easier less stressful and much more profitable life tomorrow. Many will take the $$$ and I say let them. Just don't expect to have it both ways. Honor and tradition have a lower value today than $$$, time will tell if this was a good thing. Not many Jonas Salk's walking around today.

Remember watching the old Crosby in the 1970’s……more light hearted and the best pros showed up…Palmer, Nicklaus, Trevino, Watson and Miller for example. The best part of it now is if Bill Murray shows up…..
