I am really happy that Ding Xia is back but I would choose Diao Linyu over her for now, because Diao has already established her connections with her spikers especially with Li Yingying. Putting Ding Xia back in the team is still a good decision because she would be a better substitute for Diao instead of the other setter they have on VNL.
May I know if they have a new OH on their lineup now who is good in passing/first ball? Their problem was their first ball on VNL. It was so unfortunate that Zhang and Zhu are still not with the team.

I do hope Ukraine could replace 🇷🇺 RUS as one among the European BIG 7 in women's volleyball, but they need times to increase their level as current state is not enought. But, I think with the expulsion of RUS from Paris next year, there is a chance by Ukraine to grab a Gold medals especially in Artistic Swimming, Rythmic Gymnastic, Fencing (especially in women individual and team sabre), and Women's High Jump. For High Jump, I predict Yaroslava Mahuchik will take Gold in Paris even if Russian 2020 Olympic Cham Mariya Lasitskane are there. Another prospect is Olha Kharlan should able to take a Gold. She is 4 times World Cham in Individual sabre who never won olympic Gold in that category, she was disquslified at 2023 champ in July after handsake incident with her opponent russian unseeded fencer Yuliya Smirnova, but IOC president guarantee that she will able to compete in OQT. In 2022 FIE decided to ousted all top ranking russian fencer from all world's tournament cited that almost all of those fencer hold military rank. Those fencer including 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Gold medalist Inna Deriglazova (foil), 2016 Rio Gold medalist Yana Egorian (sabre), 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Silver medalist Sofia Velikaya (sabre), 2020 Tokyo Gold medalist Sofia Pozdniakova (sabre), and all member of Sabre and Foil team who won a gold in 2016 Rio OG and 2020 Tokyo OG.
