Even though we’d won the World Cup 4 years earlier, this remains my favourite game of rugby, because the victory was so unlikely. We hadn’t played well, but knock-out games have a greater intensity which we rose to. In this game, France were understandably the favourites, but we just battled away, and got our rewards in the end.
