Mannarino indicated initially he thought it was in. There was no reason for the umpire to jump down and check the line. If it was the reverse and Mannarino thought it was out but his opponent wanted it checked, then, yes, obviously the ump should get down and check. The ball was obviously close enough to the line that the ump should have just went with how Mannarino called it (and the line judge since there was no out call which Mannarino was not refuting either)

It makes no sense what the chair umpire did, because Mannarino had already reviewed it and declared it good, the judge should not have reviewed it if the player had already awarded it to his rival, he should only have confirmed if he awarded the point! The judge is stupid, jerk, moron!

As a former professional tennis player I can say the umpire is very wrong and full of himself. If one player sees the ball going in, there is absolutely no point in coming down to check as the player has no interest to lie in this situation.. imagine having the guy as your manager..😮

This is really poor umpiring simply because of the way he handles it. You as an umpire make the final decision and your word stands. You can consult the player. The umpire does nothing wrong but it should be conveyed to the opposite player. It's pretty BS management skills really. I can totally understand the player's frustration.

Both the players are not wrong in their behavior. The umpiring might have been correct. It's the communication of the umpire to both the players especially to the complaining player which created the confusion in the complaining player.
The players are a distance away and cannot hear the conversations between umpires and the other player and then the lack in skills in the language, English in this case.
