When you swing the bat like he does, he not only has a great launch angle frequently, but his barrel speed and back spin are top tier. All his bat speed is generated behind his body as if he's trying to catch a ball with full speed, and the backspin from the barrel turn creates extra rotational force which gives the ball more hang time.

Anyone who thinks Ohtani had a better season than Judge (who leads Ohtani in every offensive category except SB) is a clueless idiot. Judge leads Ohtani in BA by 22 points, 19 RBI and 5 Homers. Judge is only 7 BA points behind Bobby Witt for the Triple Crown, and has hit the most RBI in the AL in over 15 years. Simply incredible.
