This was during Nadal's unstoppable period where after losing his Rome opener, he won every single match, winning Hamburg, RG, Queen's Club here against Novak, Wimbledon, Toronto and clinching a debut World No.1 ranking in Cincinnati before Novak finally ended his winning run there in the semifinals. It was an unbelievably dominant period for Nadal which signified the changing of the guard against Federer.
As for Novak, he went on to lead both those two legends in the slam race. But I find it interesting how he's won 7 Wimbledon titles, yet he is yet to win the main Wimbledon tune-up prestigious grass title at either Queen's Club (two finals, 2008 here in this clip, and 2018) or at Halle (one final, 2009), having featured in three finals across those events over the years. He did have a championship point in the 2018 Queen's Club final but couldn't convert and eventually lost in three against Cilic... but then goes on to win Wimbledon three weeks later! Apart from grass titles at Wimbledon, he does have the 2017 Eastbourne title though.

Sinner’s movement this week was absurd after that RG run where his movement left a bit to be desired at times. When he moves like that he’s just so hard to beat. We all know what he’s capable of offensively, but defensively he’s top 5 in the world as well, plus he has a huge serve and is a great returner.
He will be really tough at Wimbledon, but let’s see if Carlos or anyone else has solutions.

I remember watching this live. Nadal destroyed Fed at the French open, took the Eurostar to London the very next day and played Queens. He won the title there, before winning his 1st Wimbledon title against Fed and becoming world no.1 for the 1st time; after being world no.2 for 3 years prior
