I do not know if they confirmed the alternates but the 2 that I feel would defiantly help are not on the roster at this time as alternates Hanes #9 and Garcia#3. That to me is a big over sight, they are such strong players. No one has the technique and the class of Matt Anderson yet. USA has some rookies from college but most of the players on court are already professional players (playing in Germany, France, Poland...) and over 25 (Kessel is 33, Marshman 30). We just haven't seen them in international competitions up until now.
