Jung Hoyoung is a main MB in the current Korean national team. Ha, Choi and Jung all have one thing in common that they were all promising OHs. They all have been victims of selfish coaches in the Korean volleyball league, who have sacrificed young promising OHs and Korean volleyball future for security of their positions as head coaches by switching positions of those players to MBs. Moreover, Moon Jiyun and Lee Seonwoo, OPPs in the current Korean national team, are rarely used by head coaches in their teams in the Korean volleyball league. We are now seeing laughable nonsense that a back up player in her team plays as a starter in a national team. There are two main reasons why Korean volleyball declined so abruptly. First, the best players are not participating in the national team. Lee Dayeong(S), Kim Yeonkoung(OH), Lee Soyoung(OH), Lee Jaeyeong(OH), Yang Hyojin(MB), Bae Yoona(MB) and Yim Myungok(L) are the best players in Korea and are still actively playing, but for some ridiculous reasons they are not in the current Korean national team. Second, Korean volleyball lacks offensive OHs. Before, when I was following VNL for the past years. ASIAN TEAMS can definitely give a fight on these Giant teams. Only Japan and China now can keep the High Level plays. Sadly the departure of Senior players of Thailand (NOOTSARA, PLEUMJIT, ETC.)really hurt their standings and chances. Same as Korea with their loss of KYK and the twin Sisters they've lost their winning culture.
