He basically leaves the face open a ton. Mallets have different backstrokes than blades but any putter not released will tend to stay open. He also adds loft a tiny bit through impact and hits putts low in the face. He needs to keep the loft off the putter another inch or so through the ball before releasing. So release, keep the loft off through the ball. And hit the sweet spot or a little off the toe side. Don’t want to swing left. Those would help him a ton. IMO But he seems to like hitting fades with his putter instead.
