I'm just saying I think I know what's up. These home plate umps (overall) in the WS aren't rated that highly compared to rest of the umpires in the league. Why is this? First of all, the World Series trophy is just a "piece of metal" as Manfred has said before, so who cares right? Secondly, putting bad umps in charge of balls/strikes in the WS means that gets social media crying their eyes out because they're soft AF and can't handle it. So by doing this, he feels it will be "justified" when the inevitable robots come to the league in a couple years...
