Max's last name is Verstappen, with an "s", not "sh" or "sj" or "sch", just "s". (And he's also not German.)

Lewis being able to overtake that many cars on a offset strategy on a track that was difficult to overtake and still pull out a 5 sec gap was mighty impressive. Think he did better than a "moody weekend"

The FIA's hard cost cap has caused this current F1 dominance to happen -- teams can no longer spend money to catch up. To fix it, the FIA should make 2 changes to the cost cap rules. #1 Make the cost cap scale. The teams finishing higher get a smaller budget and the teams finishing lower get a bigger budget. (Like FIA already does for wind tunnel time.) #2 Change the cost cap from a hard cap to a soft cap. That way if a big team wants to spend a lot of money above their cost cap limit to catch up to a rival team, then they can. But for doing so they will have to pay a large luxury fee for going over their cap. The luxury fee money is then equally given to all the other teams. (This would also help the smaller teams since they will receive some "free" money to help them in their own development.)

These records that's so much is made of are pretty pointless now that everything has changed so much not that long ago Mclaren won 15 out of 16 races in a year, there is a good chance Max will win more than that this year and when turbos came about you only scored for your best 11 races if my memory serves me right. You can compare performance when the rules are static but thats about it, otherwise it looks like Fangio wasn't much good, didn't win that many races by todays standards

There was this English-speaking anti-Senna rhetoric which was so prevalent back in the 1980s. Seems it's still alive and well in 2023. That opinion re Monza '88 is absolutely laughable. JLS had made as if to make room for Senna, then went off the road, turned, and T-boned him. You'd have to be an absolute Muppet to think it was Senna's fault. What a tool

Matt, you struggle to see the Albon effect. What other driver in the lower half of the Grid can drag their car into points as consistently as Albon. Your comments appear to consider Williams to be in the upper midfield which they clearly are not. Consider Alpine who are, this weekend we’re eliminated Q1. I doubt you would question Gasly or Orcons ability. Talking of the Russell era at Williams, he was not any better. He fluked a podium and scored a few points in a car which he sat in for 3 years. Alex and Dave R are working together to ek the most from that Williams, something we haven’t seen for years. They have been a joke but not any longer.

FIA / F1 should look at their 5 second penalty again 🙄. F1 is a non contact sport. I believe if a driver causes another driver to sustain damage or drop out of the race as a result of a collision which is due to no fault of his, the offending driver should be given a drive through penalty rather than a 5 second penalty. e.g Hamilton destroying the front wing of Oscar, but still finished P6 and Oscar, P12. Through no fault of Oscar. How's this fair? This rule must be looked at again by F1 otherwise drivers will continue driving into other racers with impunity. 😮
