I think a professional journalist should be able to give more insight than the obligatory answers from Matt. A disappointing broadcast from a generally good an informative platform 😢

F1 is a team effort as Mercedes have proved over the last 2 seasons. They ignored Lulu's advice and deliberately recruited an Albatross (Russell) to radically upset the teams balance & work ethic. No team needs to tarnish their racing record with a driver who has the historic track record of having the most barging contacts with other drivers and a disappointing points track record after 5 seasons. Last race Russell had a 'barging' moment with with Lando , that, as a Mercedes driver, he got away with ....... but ........ forced him to retire from the race. Until Mercedes admit their catastrophic mistake in recruiting an Albatross & dump Russell for a team player, Mercedes will continue to be beaten by their customer teams and remain in the mid field contenders.

thanks! as for the 5sec penalty Perez.. I was torn a bit, being a Perez supporter from NL, and can relate to what's said here about the penalty being somewhat harsh given the conditions. Especially since it had quite a consequence for him, losing a podium spot. However, as someone in the thread commented about stewards and being consistent: I have to say that I do agree on that, so well.. driver and the likes of me simply have to take it on the chin.

Looks like it's gonna be a "pick on Checo week " I remember not long ago everyone loving him when blocking Hamilton to help Máx win his first Championship....which he did thanks to Checo ...so have a fun week all you Checo haters, but just remember he is a millionaire and gets on his private jet and goes home to a happy family that appreciates all his hard work ...and you ? Are you a top driver and a millionaire?

It is said on Spanish and Mexican internet pages that they continue to plot Checo, proving it with videos and recordings, unlike Max, if this is true, they do it to themselves, the "RED BULL" brand is devalued every day and generates distrust and that can affect their products.

10:00 The private airport is right next to the public airport. It's where people can drive onto the airfield with a car/van and there is a separate security check in. The rich and famous go through there. We, here, also have a military airport right next door. Important politicians (presidents, kings, prime ministers, ...) go through there. Usually they fly by military airplanes (think "Air force 1"). So you get to choose how much security check you want to be submitted to, I guess.

Aston Martin should be 2nd in the constructors championship. if they had a better second driver. Merc is generally consistent with their performances, but given how well Aston was doing at the start of this year, its disappointing to see they aren't further up the ladder. it will be interesting to see how things play out, especially as their second driver (STROLL) costs them more and more points.

It's a shame most think Máx was 4 seconds a lap faster than Checo , Checo was told to extremely manage his tires and Máx drove like a madman playing catch-up and not caring about his ...then Redbull undercuts Checo. You seriously believe they should of taken 11 seconds on one of Checo pit stops¿? Anyone that believes that is lying to himself, That was done to keep him in check and make sure won the race without having to deal with Checo, same happened last year

Y'all are not the only recap I've seen this morning about the Perez penalty possibly being a bit harsh or unfair without referencing that the stewards had already given a 5 sec penalty for pit lane speeding during the first rain event on lap 1. It just so happened that this was to Gasly who served during his pit stop causing him to be undercut by Carlos and having to overtake him on track to be in the position to take advantage of the Perez penalty. For once, the stewards if nothing else, were consistent and should not overshadow Gasly's excellent performance in mixed conditions.
