<<@BSaiKrupesh says : STAY STRONG EMILIA ROMAGNA REGION>> <<@camielvanlenteren5256 says : How cynical, and some how funny (not for all that are affected nothing to do with this circus), global warming, partly also caused by the F1, F2 and f3 circus now is finally directly hit (well, Spa last year also) by it's own caused disaster. Natural Disaster, haha>> <<@GoatofGods says : Replace the race in Sepang Malaysia for the points!! It’s been a while>> <<@DennisDithmar says : It is not about tyres. It is not about doing something hi-profile in a region of dispair. Anyone who attended normal heavy rain grands prix, knows what chaos that amounts to. The streets in Imola are flooded. Trains aren't running. Parking spots are gone. Put on top of that how many police officers, rescue personel that is allocated in and around the circuit on a normal weekend. That is easily 200 heads, that is now needed elsewhere. Even the track personel such as stewarts, flag posts etc. Local people that is now battling to rescue life and property, and not even considering heading to Imola to wave a flag.>> <<@trampsvest6657 says : Might be worth looking into "Cloud Seeding" in the area..Messing with the Weather.>> <<@tomcatpower2 says : F1 should sensitize their fans to help the Italian district in question!>> <<@christianhorner001 says : When did F1 get a conscience?>> <<@ralphe5842 says : It’s not about whether the race take place but what sense would it make when there is such a mess everywhere around in spa was just too wet to race but no disaster all around it’s more like Australia when covid struck>> <<@CasperJoosten says : It's certainly the best decision to cancel the race. But it's not F1 making this decision, it's the Italian authorities. If F1 hadn't been told to cancel they would have made it happen.>> <<@Nick-vu2bz says : I was thinking this decision was made a bit premature with the limited information, but after seeing this, it is 100% the right decision.>> <<@Mbarnstein62891 says : Couldn't they just reschedule to a date later this year?>> <<@alessandraderango2766 says : Thinking about the idea of postponing the race, is anyone aware about how much damage they have?>> <<@S.AlienLife says : WHY ON EARTH THIS NEEDS ANY EXPLANATION IS A FUCKUP>> <<@misterG2006 says : Do it on-line instead. Just for fun. All cars the same spec etc. just get them all blasting round the track to see who'd be quickest on a level playing field :o)>> <<@Andybarney555 says : F1 need to think ahead. Sending people there. Going atall?. Goverment there should of said no.. but there a tad pre occupied... f1 saw situation days before due to go there.. joke>> <<@red70s69 says : Boring weekend no domination of redbull😁🏁🏆>> <<@NexuJin says : As if there was actually a choice to keep racing.>> <<@marcossonicracer says : the truth is only one: Climate change spares no one, not even F1. and hnestly, i'm all for more cancelations. Monaco is on the choping block next because of CGT, and i would love for a power cut. and before we begin: no, i am a fan like you. i loved the 2021 season, i loved the 2022 even if i thought that shouldn't go ahead in europe because of Ukraine/Russia, but there has to be a time where we put our hands on our consciousness and say: this isn't the time to race, nor to have sports and entretainment. we gotta give support to the victims of this natural disaster and put our heads in much more urgent affairs other than racing. and with the way that FOM and Liberty is taking the sport, it won't be arround for long. especially if they insist in ICEs, which are a part of this tragedy and should be in the consciousness of the organizers, because like it or not, they are partialy responsible for this tragedy.>> <<@mini696 says : This FIA made a good call? Where am I Wally World?>> <<@ianwatters2463 says : What F1 should have done, is help out during this horrible weather, bunch of people in the paddock could be passing food and water out to areas around the track and more. Filling sandbags up, helping with transportation with the lorries to get people out of the area and to better conditions, come on man, I'm from the USA, we go and aid those who are in the same situation right now>> <<@any1guitar562 says : Being from Houston Texas where hurricane Harvey devastated the region, I completely agree with the decision. It would be so insensitive to try to hold an event while so much turmoil is going on behind the scenes>> <<@crusherbmx says : Without being cynical, Stefano Domenicali says he grew up here and two teams are based here, or at least relatively close by, so it hits home, literally, but I don't think that's why made the decision, I mean, c'mon! It's a disaster, what else are you going to do.>> <<@TheZachatree says : They will give ticket holders race access next year and there contract will extend to 2026 instead of 25>> <<@cosmostrek2001 says : formula 1 did not want to cancel. all they care about is money. they had no choice. will they reschedule to help the community. will they donate all the prize money to help out. no way they keep all monies.>> <<@jeffbrinson3666 says : Head to indy asap>> <<@parmvirvirk8959 says : No race was the ONLY call.>> <<@chopperharris32 says : The only decision is the right decision to cancel the f1, sending best wishes to everyone effected in San Marino 🇸🇲>> <<@richardstamper5630 says : Of course it's the right decision - can you imagine the backlash had it gone ahead - it's F1 acting responsibly although I can imagine there was a lot of pressure for it to proceed.>> <<@marianne1555 says : I'm disappointed there is no race but thinking about all what going on there I really think this was the right decision. We might think F1 but how about citizens who lost their lives or homes... much more worst. Imagine if you were in that situation. Saudi Arabia was a political threat which probably could be arranged with money... this is a natural cause.>> <<@BillyGoatBoy says : this has been such a boring season so far.>> <<@michaelguy7168 says : NASCAR has rain tires now finally.>> <<@whiteandnerdytuba says : Just put some mudflaps on the cars and race>> <<@conceptualmessiah01 says : I don't say this often but I applaud FIA decision. People first.>> <<@specialK319319 says : Glad to see F1 made the right decision. As much as i'd love to think other sporting organizations would do the same, im not sure. Maybe im being overly cynical though.>> <<@WillowCreative says : they made the right decision at the right time to cancel it>> <<@Kessoku says : never put a fking spring break! that's it>> <<@Rodejong says : Sky Sports just this morning posted the tyre rule changes for qualifying and the times for this weekend, like nothing happened. (Probably scheduled, but still) F1 has so often pushed things through, so everyone expected F1 to do it this time again. Good surprise though, that they were sensible this time.>> <<@steveyountz1757 says : Good call. A race pales in comparison to humanitarian needs.>> <<@uncleelias says : F1 can't make a final judgement on cancellations until the local governments require it of them. In this case the local government was probably hopeful that the weather would cooperate and it didn't. I assume that today was the last day for them to assess the situation. The procedures that the local government took seemed a bit wishful. They should probably have been more cautious and assumed worsening conditions instead of hoping for conditions to get better. Ultimately, business enterprises will do whatever they want so that they don't lose a penny until strong 'competent' governments rein them in.>> <<@cyberbeat11 says : does anybody remember bahrain 2012? please stop about the humanitarian bullshit. f1 doesnt give a fuck, they are hosting the race in Saudi Arabia ffs :D>> <<@JelloTypeR says : I can’t quite believe you’ve made this video. My wife comes from Castel Maggiore outside Bologna. The flooding is catastrophic and covers the entire region. People have died, lost homes and businesses. Schools are closed. There is no way such an event could even be considered.>> <<@wngimageanddesign9546 says : The F1 drivers were threatened with the confiscation of their passports if they didn't race that weekend in Saudi Arabia. The gov't, aka Royal family, issued that threat if the race didn't proceed. This is what happens when you become a whore to Saudi money.>> <<@scottmeredith3359 says : This is a double whammy for Imola. Not only the flood damage and displacement, the area will lose millions of dollars economically due to the race cancellation. What a disaster.>> <<@Dremansworld says : Lately they dont race on anything more than mildly damp anyway. Rather dont bother unpacking for us to watch an pty track and safety car checks. Real issues with the floods aside.>> <<@philipbarton3456 says : I hope those who are affected by the storms are able to get out of this ok. Natural disasters are never a fun experience. On the subject of Formula 1 though: I wonder what this means for teams that were bringing upgrades. Monaco isn't exactly a great track to reference results for upgrades. However the track that follows it, Spain, is more of a reference track. The problem is that if anyone planned to have upgrades that were also acting as mounting points for new track specific components for Monaco that would severely complicate things for those teams. They could rapidly develop components to make up for those lack of changes but that would mean they would get burned by the budget cap. Maybe the FIA will allow special accommodations for the teams to compensate for the losses as these are situations outside of their control?>> <<@GrinchyDan says : Humans will always lose out when trying to beat nature. RIP to those lost but what we have to learn is to work with nature to able to facilitate these events without jeopardising human life.>> <<@jeff3575davison says : just shorten the summer break and slot Imola in......>> <<@AutisticHighHeeler says : Tl;dr the river burst its banks and the weather pissed itself.>> <<@TheJokerit19 says : While cancellation itself is a shame, the decision was ultimately wise to put everyone's safety ahead & not take medical help away from more urgent needs.>> <<@gelovr6 says : Most elaborate answer to “common sense”>>
