<<@DonJulioitsthegoodstuff says : Guys, unfortunately RB is in another league, and this year, the only thing other teams can do is try as much as possible to close that GAP and hope that next year they will be closer... FYI, im not a RB fan, so now im just focusing on enjoying the battle for second and third.>> <<@howarddohlen8977 says : Does anyone want to talk about Red bulls suspension? Major anti dive front end. All wind tunnel testing is straight on wind flow. Mersedes had great wind tunnel testing. The only way to keep the car level and working is Suspension geometry. Camber and caster Scrub angles Roll centers. Merc i think just got the new regulations wrong last year, and now they arent the dominant force anymore we are starting to see them fall apart. if they dont get back to winning ways quickly i think we are going to start seeing major changes in the team structure before too long (both people moving to other teams by choice and people being made a scapegoat and got rid of) quali was a close fight but in the race red bulls performance was kinda ominous, not just max either sergio was only 0.15 off in quali to give a front row lockout + then 25s ahead of the rest of the pack to give a red bull 1-2. when you add in max's strike rate for podiums and wins over the past few seasons even at times when red bull maybe didnt have the fastest car we could see that wins in a season record beaten again and while its a bit too early to call i wouldnt be surprised if George's prediction came true>> <<@norbertjanssen814 says : They had a no blame culture when they were winning everything. That's easy. Now George, Lewis and Toto are showing there true colours.>> <<@zhen86 says : Why so much attention to merc? What about the rest?>> <<@reiniernn9071 says : Do not expect to much from LeClerc. If any Ferrari will fight the RB hegemoney it will be Sainz due to the very early grid penalty. And I do expect some more from Mercedes this weekend Their low drag concept (without sidepods) can be an advantage at this high speed ring. At least they should end before Alonso and Stroll, maybe also keep LeClerc (after his penalty starting lower in the pack) behind them.>> <<@Stiglitz71 says : Nothing killed innocent people like NATO over the last three decades. But racing in Jeddah is 'controversial'. Not at Silverstone or Zandvoort. If we start to mingle sports and politics, no event should ever happen in a NATO country. If it really was about human rights.>> <<@romeoroze2357 says : Redbull was strong last year from the get go ( minus couple of races). What people fail to understand is Redbull has a trend of breaking rules first and pay for them later. They broke cost cap and developed the heck out of the car and paid a little penalty for it. Now they are ahead and collect all the penalty money in winning team share. Rest of the guys still struggling to run on low cost, they are scrambling team principals from smaller teams / customer teams so they can bring budget in line. Horner and his team are a smart bunch . Nice move.>> <<@CT37BN says : Fact is high probabilty they will not progress as much with the no pod W14. Change as early as possible, deal with the increment updates while managing their budget>> <<@valconir1619 says : Fight Back againts? AM or Ferrari? Maybe. Ferrari definitely is superior than Merc in Jeddah>> <<@ELSTERLING says : From what I understand of the philosophies Red Bull's car represents an extremely pragmatic approach to ground effect where Mercedes' is based on ideal conditions they've been hoping for ages they can broaden the working window for. You can even see it visually in the way the Merc presents so little car to the airflow. It's a case of Mercedes trying to present as little bodywork to the air as possible that isn't an active downforce generator where RB and Ferrari are accepting that extra surface area but gain the advantage of being able to channel and condition the airflow better. It's also visible in the way Red Bull spent an entire year slowly building up to a double floor concept where Alfa and Aston Martin tried to dive straight in at the deep end at the start of 22 and couldn't make it work properly. I dare say Mercedes are far too used to having complex suspension hydraulics to keep their platform steady and the loss of not only any use of hydraulics but the departure of the head of that department really hurt them. The suspension systems they ran were a key part of their successes from 2018 to 2021 at least, most noticeably via things like DAS and their rear suspension that visibly squatted over a certain speed.>> <<@ionutortian5885 says : Fight for place 3, or max 2, no chance for 1>> <<@fups1 says : as much as i love merc and hamilton, i can't help but feel that this is the start of a downfall from which mercedes will never come back, like how mclaren has fallen off over the years. the brain drain is real, lots of important personnel was lost to other teams, and it's extremely difficult to replace people in such a specialized sport. they can't outspend everyone else because of the cost cap, they've been leapfrogged by aston martin, red bull has extra speed they were hiding in bahrain, unfortunately nothing i've seen gives me hope. all good things must come to an end, they say...>> <<@georgefraserr says : can mercedes fight back in jeddha of course they can they are 8x wc .s.>> <<@georgefraserr says : Let's not get carried away we all.know that rb are prone to reliability issues. there rb power unit is no match fir the w14. or the w13 . so nothing is written in stone in f1 Anything can happen look at A M . Front suspension, front wing, different power units which dictates the designs around, etc. The truth is that we know is different and they deserve the credit of seeing something good and improve on it. They were slowed down by the team and still couldn't be touched by anyone. So if Merc improves , Max just goes faster. The noise coming from the teams is just that ... NOISE.
